We had our wedding reception here on 3rd oct. Fab friendly staff (particularly Angela and Sandra) went out of their way to make sure everything ran smoothly, and all our guests had a great time. We stayed in room 20 on the night; gorgeous big room, the bed is huge and very comfy, lovely bathroom and a massive window which...

We attended a family wedding here and it was really nice. The staff worked really hard and the food was amazing. The beef was so thick and tasty and the dessert was fantastic. It was one of the nicest meals we have had for a long time.Well done to all involved.

I love this hotel, been for my 50th birthday weekend with friends, we had a great day around and about, afternoon tea in the hotel, this was good on sandwiches and scones but the cakes were not so good..been frozen so soggy, then over to the workingman's club. Hotel is old and dated just exactly as I like it, if...

Stayed here for one night with friends. Walking in smelt a drain smell. Rooms ok needs updating. We had afternoon tea nice fresh bread but cakes tasteless scones were nice though. Breakfast was as if it had been slapped on the plate. It wasn't that hot either when asked for more toast the stressed waitress said "yes when everybody as...

I have no problem with old hotels, or those that are a little frayed at the edges. However, I have a really issue with tatty and dirty. I wouldn't let my student children stay in such a place, never mind my wife! Don't stay here!

We stayed for two weeks last August (2014). We meant to book it for 4 weeks but something went wrong with the transaction and wound up paying for 4 weeks but stayed only 2 and getting reimbursed for the other 2 eventually. The room over the first dining room was a 2 bedroom suite for 2 adults and our 2...

You can imagine this place was pretty classy in the 60s and 70s. But like the rest of the sea front, it's seen much better days. Hotel is shabby, in need of renovation. Shower didn't work, WiFi was rubbish, staff were disinterested that we'd even arrived. Diet coke syrup had gone so the bar woman just filled up my murky...

Great location for those wanting to be close to the sea. Food very average, very middle of the road so don't expect too much and you might not be disappointed. Rough Rosie wine - could do better for what you pay. Staff really friendly and try hard.

My wife and I booked Sunday 2pm. We were given a really nice table for two with a view of the sea and the place was not too busy at tat time. Choice of traditional sunday lunch and other specials on the menu all were tempting. Food was hot and fresh, separate turin with various veg and extra gravy boat...

Crikey, where to start? This is an interesting place to eat - if you do venture here be sure to take good friends whose company can ameliorate the ambiance and aide digestion - that provides a dank, foreboding welcome to any traveller. The bar is spartan and poorly lit. The furnishings worn and frayed. The tables sticky with the spillage...
