Hotel is well situated, overlooking Morecambe Bay. Stayed 3 nights and found staff very pleasant and helpful, especially with wifi problem I had. Meals were good with plenty of choice. Very comfortable bed in a nice clean room. One negative point was that the window in the room had misted double glazing and blocked the view. Entertainment on the evening...

This hotel was the accommodation for my wife and I's Shearing holiday. It is in a good position on the Morecambe sea front. It is a pleasant walk of around half a mile to the more populous part of Morecambe. Buses stop just outside making it easy for those less able to get around. As others have written the hotel...

Just had an amazing stay at the Bay Strathmore hotel in Morecambe as part of our Shearings holiday. Basic room, very comfortable & clean with nice ensuite. Food has been lovely, full English breakfast every morning & three course dinner every evening. Staff are superb! Nothing too much trouble. Thoroughly enjoyable stay. Will definitely visit again!

My wife and I booked this midweek break with Shearings and after reading most of the previous reviews were pleasantly surprised with the hotel. We did not expect 5 star service and could find nothing seriously wrong with any of the facilities. Our room was sea facing and lovely and clean with a bathroom larger than anything we had ever...

Stayed over for a family wedding. It didn't look too bad from the outside but better inside. All the staff were friendly and helpful, the food was OK, nothing special and the place was clean. The breakfast could have looked better though. The room was quite compact with the bed very close to the wall. It was also quite noisy...

Stayed here with my wife last weekend. We paid extra for a sea view, which was a waste as the windows were filthy. The general cleanliness of the room was poor and in serious need of refurbishment. Bed was very uncomfortable. The tv was very tiny, smallest we have ever encountered in any hotel we have ever stayed in and as...

Dear reviewer I am surprised and disappointed to read of your dissatisfaction with your recent stay and take this opportunity to apologise for the issues you describe. Stayed here 27/07/15 on a Shearings five day break, we upgraded to a sea view and wasn't disappointed. Our room was 109 on the 1st floor as it was above the reception desk we was able to access the free Wifi from our room normally only available in the public areas. My first impressions of this hotel were of a shabby, run down place. Peeling ceilings and wallpaper, rust around the fittings in the bathroom, hole smashed in the door... This is not the case in all the rooms - out friends had a room on the lower floor which was much better. The upper floor rooms seem to have been...
