We were recommended by a local person to have lunch here. What a beautiful and well cared for hotel,we are very drawn to the style of the 30s,so it was so lovely to see this grand building at the end of the promenade, and the interior even more pleasing, what an absolute gem and with northern friendliness too! We enjoyed a very... More

We stayed a couple of nights in November & this really is fabulous building. The food is also excellent. Breakfast is a combination of a buffet (including fabulously creamy porridge) & cooked to order with offerings such as a full English, kippers & eggs benedict. Served in the sun terrace restaurant, even if the weather's not great you get a... More

Went here for afternoon tea as it was my birthday treat. It was delicious and everything of the highest quality. We sat in the sunny window overlooking Morcambe bay and could see the snow covered fells of the Lake District in the distance. We had the gin cocktail too. Everything was beautifully served and although expensive was well worth the... More

I love the Midland - the art deco ambience is perfectly maintained. The service is personal and excellent, and the rooms spacious and well laid out. Beautiful views both seawards and inland. My wife requires disabled access, and the room was on of the best she has encountered.

Love this hotel. The design features in the room are amazing and the size of our room was perfect. We had the classic room with sea view, which was a corner room with great views. Our dog was made very welcome with a dog bed, bowl and treats waiting for him in the room. We ate in the bar as... More

Took my sister in law for her birthday on Halloween for a 2 night dinner bed and breakfast break. She was as delighted as much as I have always been with this hotel. The staff are friendly, the room quirky and the food wonderful. The 2 day break is the best value for money I have experienced. Her treat next... More

Stopped for one night at the Midland, it was very good but very expensive. The room was beautiful overlooking the sea and very large but there was something missing.I think they had tried to hard but actually missed it being perfect. The hidden toilet although a novel idea actually didn't work in reality because trying to creep to the bathroom... More

Whilst we cannot fault the location, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff and the quality of the food served, unfortunately the rooms were, simply, too quirky for our taste with the toilet and the shower "hidden" in a "toilet/shower/dressing table/wardrobe unit" which unfortunately seemed just wrong. Disappointed

We stayed for my wifes 60th birthday, and we were upgraded to a beautiful room with sea view. The Midland is a charismatic art deco hotel with an old fashioned charm, old fashioned courtesy and friendliness. The food was excellent, I cant fault the place.
