I visited the Midland when Urban Splash held an open day to show their plans for renovating the hotel. It was heartbreaking to see this once glorious building so down and out. Now it's back to its best and a terrific example of what can be done if people have vision. The Eric Gill carvings and murals are glorious, the...

Stunning Art Deco Hotel transports you back the grand old days, but you get free top class wifi which likely wasn't available in 1933! Just stunning surroundings, fantastic restaurant and top quality service in a traditional British style. Okay so it's not cheap to stop overnight but when you measure against other quality hotels I'd say it was great value....

Amazing place to call for a break while walking along the beach/promenade area. Wonderful staircases. Free parking if you are a resident. Lovely views out to sea and over the beaches. Situated on the main road opposite The Platform , or on the Promenade by the Lifeboat station. Website informs of up and coming events and offers.

Another return to a lovely hotel. Part of the ELH group to enjoy my daughters birthday. On arrival we were informed that a wedding party would be using the room directly below our room so noise could be an issue on the Saturday night. As we use room 101 because it is one of the best disabled rooms we have...

We stayed for a night. The idea was romance. Well from the minute we walked through the doors it took our breath away. The room is incredible. Being a fan of Art Deco and Urban Splash I was intrigued to see what they had done. Well it's spellbinding. I'll leave it to you to discover the rooms for yourself; but...

We have been coming to the midland new year holiday package for a number of years, first on our own and then with friends as they wanted to join in the fun we kept telling them about! We feel like we're coming home as soon as we step through the door, we are welcomed back personally by the reception staff....

All the staff over New Year worked very hard to make sure everybody enjoyed themselves the festivities were very well arranged, loved the quiz's, if you didn't want to join in there was no pressure to do so. The New Year's meal and party afterwards was excellent, plenty of good music for all tastes. Everybody mixed together very socially. Lots...

Just spent an amazing 4 days over new year in this brilliant hotel. The staff could not do enough to make our stay special. The room was a 1930s style with all modern facilities. Everything from chrome handrails through to marble bathrooms was spotless and gleamed with polish. The chefs are creative and go to great lengths to meet diary...
