Welcoming and friendly staff, coupled with freshly made coffee and biscs helped alleviate the stresses and strains of a very long, slow drive. We were shown to a large bright and comfortable room overlooking the garden which was well furnished with all amenities. The breakfast was very high quality - lots of freshly brewed coffee, a wide range of fruits...

Thank you very much for your lovely comments. I am so pleased you enjoyed your stay. Our butcher will be delighted you have taken the local produce home. I am looking still rather battered. Thank you for your good wishes. Kind regards Valerie

We stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting North Yorks moors, and certainly made the right choice of hotel.Reasonably priced, lovely staff, and a lovely room. We dined in the hotel the first night, and had a delicious 3 course meal.Breakfast too was excellent.Close to the town centre, this hotel is a real find, and i wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Very warm welcome, with tea and biscuits on arrival. Excellent atmosphere all weekend. The room was very clean with on suite bathroom, shower only. The bed was one of the most comfortable ever I have slept on. The food was excellent, more than I could eat, at £28 for 3 course meal including tea and coffee, was very good value....

On one of the coldest weekends so far ,the boiler broke down and with no chance of repairs until Monday we booked into this venue. Eight of us stayed there last night, 27th January for our annual reunion. The Old Manse is warm and comfortable and you are sure of a great welcome. The breakfast was superb with a very wide selection of fruit, cereals and the "full English" as well. Thanks for a very pleasant second stay, hope to be there again next year.
