Stayed here for one night as we treated Granny and our daughter to a ride on the Royal Scot. This hotel is lovely and it's location perfect. It's cosy, lovely friendly staff and tasty food. It feels like a home from home but with people looking after you. Gardens are beautiful too and our 2 year loved running around them....

Our weekend stay at the best western forest and vale hotel was good. From the moment we entered to check in to our departure each and ever staff member we met was so curteous, polite and engaging. The room was good and the food was very good. It it situated very near the shops in Pickering which is quaint. The...

Stayed for 1 night. Really friendly welcome at reception (Suzanne and Ben), Comfortable room on ground floor overlooking a really nice garden. Hotel on quite a busy junction but wasn't bothered at all with traffic noise. Hotel had a bit of a strange layout and could have done with a nicer lounge area to relax in, but overall, decor and...

We arrived early but were warmly welcomed and shown to a stunning room. The entire hotel is bright, clean and smart. All the staff were amazing, warm smiles, professional service and nothing too much trouble. Room and bathroom were huge, lovely furnishings and extra touches with tasty biscuits and quality toiletries. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. I cannot recommend this...

Standards at this lovely hotel are as high as ever. Clean, warm, comfortable, good room, great breakfast, very friendly staff and excellent value. This really is a...

Arrived for my annual stay late November/December as usual. Due to unforeseen events I arrived after the kitchen had closed. The evening reception staff kicked into action and provided a superb portion of scampi & chips - greatly appreciated. Delighted to say the broadband remains blistering fast.

We stayed here on sunday night. The hotel is in a great location in the town center, with ample car parking. We found all staff very friendly and efficient, especially Dan, who showed us to our room and served us in the bar. The breakfast and evening meal were excellent. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. All in all...

Pickering is a lovely Town offering a wonderful church, a superb outdoor walking shop - probably on of the best in the area and with it's own you Tube channel. There are a lot of tea shops, and charity shops which is a shame as the Town has wonderful character. The hotel was clean, the staff were attentive and we...

Christmas party night and one night stay. Food was fantastic which was a great surprise as often on these group party nights isn't the best in hotels. Plates were hot and food was first class as was service. The bar was reasonable for a hotel £16 for a bottle of wine. The only let down of the evening was the...
