Don't take any notice of older reviews. This hotel is part way through renovation. When I stayed the first floor had been completed, a rather stately lift had been installed. The second floor still had the builders in, but I was told it would be finished in two weeks. I had a very warm welcome and the staff were very...

I would like to thank Agnes and her staff for the lovely buffet she put on for my parent's Diamond Wedding celebration. Everybody commented on how good the food was and how nice the new conservatory was. We all had a lovely time.

Really had a good stay despite the building work. Room was bright and warm , although a little on the small side. The full English breakfast was excellent made even better by the service given by Julia (5 stars to her) will definitely recommend this hotel and stay again

This place is the pits. If you like living and sleeping on a building site then this is definitely for you. Hammering and banging until 6pm, angle grinder going out side my window also from 8:15 in the morning. No mention of this when i booked ! Breakfast was a joke , soggy bread with what i thought was scrambled...

Booked this hotel before Xmas as a cheeky night away to look forward to in the New Year. Received an email a few days before informing us of some building work that had overrun. On arrival the hotel looked like a building site. Bare walls a makeshift check in and unkempt staff. The room was clean, freezing and smelt of...

Hello, Thank you for your review. As our hotel was closed for a month during January, we made sure to ring everybody who was checking in on our first day of reopening, to let them know that our renovation work has suffered a small delay but unfortunately we could not reach you on the number you had provided. We were...
