Another great holiday at Widmouth! The new owners are lovely! We stayed in Kestral, it was perfect for what we needed. Our kids (8 & 4) loved feeding the animals each morning and the private beach is awesome. We will definitely be back!! The walks on the estate are lovely, though very hilly so not for the feint hearted. Find...

Located minutes from Combe Martin, ten minutes from Ilfracombe and just 40 minutes from the town of Barnstaple, Widmouth Farm is a great location for a family holiday, and they accept dogs. The farm has a number of cottages which accommodate up to 8 persons. 6 days a week there is the kids favourite 'animal feeding' and a short walk...

The reviews on here make this sound idyllic, and probably if you have a toddler who likes feeding animals then this is a destination for you however what I would like to do is highlight some of the problems we had recently on arrival here and how written words can be very misleading. It states "the cottages are in an...

It is so sad that you we so disappointed with Widmouth Farm Cottages. Our major fault, which could have solved 90% of your problems was that we did not greet you on arrival. I was away for a rare couple of days break and my husband was managing the farm, animals and cottages 'solo'. Had you spoken to him he...

A very happy long weekend with grandchilren and many thaks to Liz and her husband for introducing the children to the farm animals. A beautiful setting with lovely views of the hills sweeping down to the sea. Very satisfying and good for the soul. The cabin was well appointed and clean and the beds comfortable. Happy to recommend this for...

We had a fabulous time at Widmouth Farm Cottages. Our party was 2 adults, 2 children aged 6 and 9 and 2 grandparents in their 70's plus our 8 mth old puppy! We stayed in Woodpecker Lodge - it was perfect for us as there was plenty of room in the house, the layout was great for dining and relaxing...

We arrived tired after a long drive on the M5 and found the farm easily from the directions. It was feeding time for the goats as we arrived and our 2 children got stuck in straight away. The owner, Liz, was very welcoming and popped in once we had had a chance to unpack. The farm was great fun and...

On arrival at the cottage in the pouring rain we were allowed to take possession early but the proprietor said she had not had time to check the cleaning. That was an understatement, the place was filthy. The toilet brush was caked in excrement and the toilet had not been cleaned. The cooking pots were under the sink, some of...

We are totally incredulous and horrified to see your review and will of course be making personal contact with you now. You arrived at 1pm when 'check-in time' as in all our correspondence was 4pm and let yourselves in before we had completed cleaning & checking. I specifically said to you that if anything was not to your satisfaction you...

We just got back last week from a weeks break staying in the Round Barn. Hosts Jeremy and Elizabeth were so helpful from first contact through to leaving. We were celebrating our 30th Wedding Anniversary and had the most wonderful time here. Cottage was lovely and cosy , modern kitchen and a mix of antique and modern furniture but nicely...

We took our 20 month old son down to Widmouth Farm Cottages for a much needed holiday (his first). We all had a wonderful time, the look on his face as we fed the animals on the first morning was a real picture. Had there been room in the car you might have been short a goat or a duck...

Our mixed family (grandad, mom, 2 young boys) stayed for a long weekend in the Round Barn cottage. For the boys, feeding the animals (alpaca, pigs, sheep, goats, poultry, guinea pigs, etc.) was a real highlight, especially with the encyclopedic commentary by Jeremy Sanson as we walked around for 1-1/2 hours. Nice play area (smallish) for children, lots of places...

It was wonderful to have your multigenerational family stay and to watch you enjoy what our spectacular part of Devon has to offer. Thank you for your very kind comments in respect of the animal feeding, through which I hope to impart some of my knowledge and enthuse both the young and old in what is a fascinating area
