This Victorian is breathtaking. Furnished beautifully with all the details you dream a house like this should have. The room was beautiful, comfortable, clean and very cozy. There are at least four restaurants no more than three blocks away in this picturesque little Highlands town. Very safe at all hours day and night. And the breakfast was delicious and with all the options you may hope to have. Our host (I can't remember his name) was the nicest man and he made us feel welcome and totally comfortable. I highly recommend Sonnhalde, a very classy B&B.

We had a great time at this guest house. Bernie really goes above and beyond to make sure his guests are welcomed and his hospitality is amazing. Price included breakfast which was generous and whilst the rooms were old fashioned they were very comfortable. Close to town, Bernie knows everything there is to know about the area would recommend to anyone visiting or passing through Kingussie.

This is a perfectly adequate, good old-fashioned British (née English) B&B. The prices are low compared to anywhere else in the region and if you remember that you will not be disappointed. The location is really good and the room was comfortable with a nice bed, and despite it being a shared bathroom, there was a sink (“washbasin”) in the room. In this new world when we critique(sic) (criticise) everything I would make the following points: 1. There was no TV or radio in the room (the Wifi was good enough to watch TV / listen to the radio) 2. When I ordered a full cooked breakfast I got scrambled egg, sausage, and bacon. It was enough but not what I would consider a full breakfast. 3. There was no way of telling if the shared bathroom was occupied, and of the 3 locks inside the bathroom door only 1 worked.

TIP - Its quite a steep walk from the main street if you are not great on your feet. We stayed here for one night, and would go back without a thought. Bernie is very welcoming. The parking is fine, but a bit tight if its busy. There is a TV lounge which is good with nice seating which means your are not confined to the bedroom. There isnt a TV in the bedroom, which may not suit all. Breakfast was fine, nothing to write home about. there are the usual cereal and also a full cooked breakfast should you want.
