What a great place to stay! Warm, comfortable, spacious room (The Dairy room). Excellent breakfast - the homemade bread makes really good toast and you have to try a pancake! Fresh milk each day for tea/coffee in our room. Julie and John are very friendly and helpful, it is like visiting old friends. We have been about seven times since...

The B&B Ruthven Steadings is an excellent place to enjoy the Scottish hospitality. Especially the breakfast with homemade bread, homemade cakes and freshly cooked eggs and/or pancakes is a culinary pleasure.

Great to be back for a couple of nights. We love it so much that our children bought us two nights B&B in the tractor shed for Christmas. A great break from work in a lovely part of the country. The breakfasts are wonderful and all freshly cooked to order. They last you most of the day!

We had a great stay at Ruthven Steadings. We stayed in the Dairy room which had a big sized bed in a very large room. The house was clean and very well decorated. Fresh baked bread and homemade marmelade/jams at breakfast gave the day a good start. Julie is a very friendly, helpfull and optimistic host. The B&B is just...

A beautiful, quiet, well situated B &B. Kingussi town center is 2 minutes down the road and hiking trails are abundant. The room was exceptionally large and beautifully decorated. Julie was a gracious and informative host. Would highly recommend this property to any discerning travelers.

Spent three nights in Ruthven Steadings and loved it. By far the best B&B I have stayed in. A few minutes from Kingussie and close to the Aviemore area. An excellent base for all outdoor activities. The Old Tractor Shed room was spotless, spacious and beautifully furnished. Huge ensuite. The B&B is sittuated a 10 min walk or 2 min. drive outside the town of Kingussie. Surrounded by fields, small hills and the nearby remainings of the Ruthven barracks (old fort) it presents a beautiful picture! The house and gardens, greenyards and little tree groups build together with the small stone walls a perfect escape place from the hustle...

How lucky were we to find this place! From the moment that we arrived until we left, we were treated like royalty. The diary room, where we stayed, was beautifully furnished, immaculate and comfortable. The breakfast set us up for the whole day and Julie & John couldn't have been more attentive or friendly. Each day we had fresh milk...

This was the best B&B we have stayed at so far. The combination of a really modern, enormously spacious and tastefully decorated room with the very serene rural surrounding area made it an excellent place to stay for a couple of days. The welcome was very cordial, we found fruit, chocolate and fresh milk in the room on arrival and...
