The location of this property is ideal for exploring this fantastic part of the country, but it is the warm welcome, attention to detail and fine food that will take you back time after time. Nothing is too much trouble for your fantastic hosts and we would recommend Ivybank Lodge to everyone.

What a great surprise at the end of a long journey. An excellent newly appointed room with absolutely everything you could wish for. Delightful Scottish breakfast with haggis and black pudding, a naughty treat for us!

Stayed here with my wife and young teens. It's spotless warm and welcoming. Could not fault the house or the owners. They could not be more helpful and the breakfasts are on par with any 4 star hotel. Make sure you spend the extra 20 minutes and get the Scottish Rerbit for breakfast. For me the choice of music playing...

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 3 nights in November and we could not have asked for a better place! We got a free upgrade because the room we had booked was still being refurbished, and we were the only guests staying here for the 3 nights. The breakfast was tasty and fresh! The location of the lodge is...

The hotel itself is finished to the highest standard while retaining most of its Victorian features and charm. The bedrooms are exceptionally well appointed and maintained exceptionally well. And then there's the food. Nigel is a trained chef and this shows in the sheer variety and quality of the food on offer; stunningly presented and simply delicious. The guys make...

Fantastic rooms with beautiful view. Stayed for two nights. Food was delicious. I had the haggis rarebit for breakfast. Enjoyed every bite. Definitely worth the journey from Copenhagen. The couple who owns the lodge were charming and gave us helpful tips about the area. Can't wait to go back.😀👍👍👍

This is the standard that all Scottish Bed and Breakfasts’ should aim for. Nigel and Gary have stamped their obvious good taste throughout. You know you’re in definitely Scotland, but without the tartan tat, with quality furnishings and public rooms finished very tastefully, as it was in our Superior King room! Nice guys and very focused on making this place...

Although Nigel and Gary were still refurbishing rooms we found our Superior King was beautifully presented and very comfortable. With Wifi and onsite parking it was perfect for us. We were attending a concert in the town and were able to walk being close to the centre. We had a really warm welcome and chose to have breakfast and dinner...
