We stayed 3 October 2015. Had the superior double with ensuite. The front staff was very helpful. There was a book /author fair in town. Parking on site and breakfast is included. Beds were comfortable and enough outlets to charge all devices. Good water pressure which is sometimes difficult to find. Home of the Highland Games the first weekend in...

Following an unhappy experience at this hotel I was contacted by the Management who were very courteous. We visited the hotel again and were allocated a Superior room, which was definitely superior in every way to the previous room! It was spacious, well furnished, clean, comfortable and had double aspect windows with lovely views of the town. We enjoyed a...

This hotel at the end of the Main Street is central for everything in the area and was ideal for 16 golfers playing golf on the surrounding courses nearby. Very friendly staff, great food and reasonably priced. Rooms were more than comfortable and big with nice high ceilings and an excellent power shower. Buffet-style breakfast in the morning could have...

We ate here a few times while on holiday and found it excellent for our needs. Varied menu, friendly and helpful staff, good atmosphere and always busy. Food always hot and delicious and prices reasonable. Highly recommended.

This hotel is okay for a one night quick stop over, it isn't the cheapest we have stayed in we have had a lot better for a lot less, so for me I thought it was expensive for what it was. The decor internally could do with updating woodchip wallpaper is not that pleasant to look at. There was a...

I was here last weekend and stayed two nights in a 'Superior' room at £70 per night. First, they claim to have ample parking. This isn't true, at least not at weekends, and the nearby public carpark does not allow overnight parking (or rather requires you to buy a new ticket at midnight). The free wifi is pretty intermittent. And...

Highly recommend a stay at this Hotel. A warm welcome will await you by the friendly staff and owners of this establishment. Great service in the bar and the restaurant and a hearty breakfast will set you up for the day. Well located to travel around some of the most beautiful countryside.

Expected a better quality hotel in the centre of town. Hotel car park is small and if you are not early enough you won't find a space. We had a party of 7 and all stated that their rooms were basic and dated. Mine had two window slots that probably would not look out of place in Barlinnie prison. Television...

There were 14 of us, staying at this hotel for 3 nights, and only one of us had a couple of problems, which were resolved quickly. I agree the hotel is dated, but I found it very clean at all times. We were in a superior room, and it was well furnished, and very clean. Good shower area, white fluffy...

Although the public areas of the Royal Hotel are very welcoming, I wish to register my disgust at the accommodation we were given. Our room was accessed along a bare brick, unheated corridor, in an annex of the hotel. The room itself was located above the hotel car park. I asked if it we could have another room, but the...
