Good price/performance ratio. Good service, cleanness, spa, parking, food No air conditioning, no shampoo in bathroom. Excellent view, nature, seashore cliff, highest waterfall in Baltic is nearby. SPA and breakfast is included
Everything was nice and comfortable. We enjoyed hotels restaurant with its delicious dishes. SPA area with warm swimming pool and sauna was perfect after long drive. Staff was very polite. Beautiful surrounding.
Saka Mainor is a small, but very nice place. We stayed there on night. Spa is small-sauna,pool. Location and nature is super. Rooms are clean. Employees are friendly and polite. Dinner and brekfast were very good.
The first impression is good by the look of the hotel. The hotel doesnt have any lift to go to the upper floor, you have to carry your bags, no hot water. When you go for breakfast, items are kept on the buffet, but absolutely no one to serve. I wanted a late check out at 12 noon instead of 11 am but there was no one at the reception. At 12 noon, i went to check out, but there was no one, so i decided to go down to the restaurant to see if anyone was there. There was an young lady, i handed over the key, she asked me this question in a stern voice/ tone, "dont you know that you should have vacated your room at 11 am ?" If you are looking for something to drink or eat at the restaurant on Sunday, it is closed for guests. I will never go to this hotel again.
We stayed in this hotel in August for one night. Unfortunately, the room was disappointing. I imagined that the rooms are like old manor rooms, but to be honest, it just look like outdated. The spa is very small and you have to book your visiting time in advance, but otherwise nice. We had “romantic package” which included “romantic” dinner, but this experience made me rather sad. The restaurant was very small and in the middle of the restaurant was a company event with a long table and lots of noisy guests. We were seated in the corner of the room together with other “romantic” packages quests. It was very disappointing that they didn’t reserve some other room for the company event or for all other visitors. I've never eaten so fast to finish the dinner and leave. One great thing - the location is beautiful. Unfortunately, I would not return.…
Saka Manor is a nice, small getaway in NE Estonia and we stayed there for couple of nights. The location is of course fantastic - on the high cliffs and inside an old park. The room was cozy, maybe a bit outdated, but really nothing to complain about. It was dead quiet at night and the bed was really comfortable. Breakfast was plenty and tasty, unfortunately we had no time to visit the spa. If we are in the area next time, Saka will be our choice again as it's the best lodging in the vicinity of Kohtla-Järve.
We did a tour of the large manors in eastern Estonia - formerly occupied by German noblemen until the first Estonian independence in 1918. Saka is wonderfully restored but our room was small and shockingly warm (there is no aircon). It had a tiny window portal and a skylight. It had only one working English language TV channel (France 24). The restaurant served great food though but was a bit soulless and empty while we were there. There are great walks and a Spa on the grounds as well as a great walkway down to the Baltic beach, which is too rocky and too cold for swimming i fear. The pool was also unavailable to us that evening.
Saka manor is nice small manor, between the park trees and sea. Views from coast are beatiful within walking distance of 5-10 minutes only. Rooms are quite big, clean and well decorated. Bed is cosy and battooms has everything you need. Only thing what was missing, is air. And air conditioners. If you open windows, then you will be biten by mosquitoes:) overall, we liked there. Had a really wonderful family event with 20+ persons.
Approx. 150 km east of Tallinn you will find this very nice place high above by the sea. Nice but pretty hot rooms, and the breakfast was a little poor. The staff is much nicer than the mosquitos outdoor.
Location: The hotel is located about 160 km from Tallinn. There are no real towns in the neighborhood and the nearest town-like Kohtla-Järve has practically nothing to offer. The hotel itself is located in a limestone cliff next to the Bay of Finland. Practically the only way to go to the hotel is a private car. The rooms: The basic room is really tiny with primitive furniture. The double bed is narrow for even thin people. There is no fans or air condition- neither fridge. The rooms look already worn. The public areas: All the public areas are really tiny- practically extensions of corridors. Food: The hotel has small breakfast restaurant offering just quite basic breakfast. The hotel has also a la carte restaurant with excellent food quality. The restaurant is the star of the hotel. SPA: The hotel has also a small SPA with Finnish and steam sauna and a tiny jacuzi section in a tiny pool. Personnel: The personnel of the hotel and restaurant is polite, nice and helpful.…
