I stayed at the Royal for a night due to having my driving test the next day at Blyth and I had unfortunately move out of the local area. The Royal was a good hotel and value for money. The lady on the front desk was very friendly and made you feel welcome as soon as you arrived. In the...

I hate to be negative about any hotel but this one was absolutely terrible. The staff are lovely it's the actual building. I came with my husband for a taster coach trip with Shearings the driver was lovely and very helpful the coach was very clean and pleasant. Can't fault Shearing's for the journey. Arrived to our room it was...

We stayed at the Royal Hotel after our friends' wedding party at Noir. Not living in the local area meant that we needed to stay over but after only minutes in our room at the hotel we were seriously debating forsaking a glass of wine and driving home. Whilst we knew in advance that the prices were increased due to...

Recently changed hands and is going through an update. Our bed was very comfortable but not very well positioned. Newly decorated and carpeted plus new towels and linen. The bathroom was clean but still needed a little work. Excellent breakfast. All in all for £55 very good value

We stayed there for one night. £ 55 with breakfast, cheap. Room was clean, bed comfortable. Only drawback, double bed was against the wall. Never the less, breakfast buffet was very good for a small hotel.

The staff were amazing from phoning to book to leaving. The room was huge with amazing sea views and very reasonably priced. The breakfast which was included in the price was delicious. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

This hotel has recently had a change of management. We were provided with a free upgrade to a room with a sea view. The view was fabulous and it was lovely to lie in bed listening to the waves. The room was large, spacious and tastefully set out. It was a little cold and I would expect that at some...

Friendly welcome on arrival. Love having a sea view. Breakfast good value for money. Always enjoy staying here. The Seaview rooms are spacious, clean and modern. It's on the seafront which offers access to nearby promenade. There is a good restaurant on site again GVM.

Arrived early and was able to get into my room which was a great start. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Room was clean and en suite with a brilliant breakfast included for £35. Not luxury but all you could ask for the price. Had a bit of a battle to lock the door when I went out but no...

Booked at short notice and managed to obtain last room. The Hotel appears to have been recently refurbished as the decor and carpets etc appear very new and in excellent condition. The Hotel also contains Noir drinks bar and has an excellent Italian Restaurant next door. Stayed in this area a number of times recently in other hotels in this...
