I stayed at the Edelweiss guest house at Easter. Got a very nice welcome from Shirley, she is very helpful and happy to give any info you may need. There are loads of leaftlets at Reception from timetables to excursions to activity guides. The room was very nice with a view to the sea and the place is very well...

Everyone at the Edelweiss is friendly, informative and welcoming. I enjoyed my stay. which as a solo traveller can be a hit or miss experience, this was definitely a hit. I stayed for 6 nights and felt comfortable at all times. Although I booked a single, I was given a twin room with a sea view as it was available,...

Thank you so much for taking your time to write such a wonderful review. We always aim to make our guests experience the best we can - you are very right in what you say that so often single travellers are forgotten in some establishments but we always try not to let this be so. It was our pleasure to...

Very efficient and friendly b&b. Clean and comfortable rooms. Just a good place to stay if you want b&b. Parking is easier at this end of Douglas promenade. About a 50 metre walk to be on the beach. Maybe 1Km into the centre of Douglas so very convenient. Wi-Fi. Privately owned so great service.

Staff very friendly and welcoming. Location just off the main promenade, so less traffic noise. Parking was easy at this time of year and free on the sea front. Twin room with sea view, en-suite clean and comfortable. Would stay again. Thanks.

Really enjoyed my 2 nights here. Booked a single room, but got a twin, so got a little more room. Rooms were clean and nice, bathroom was clean, overall I had no complaints. Security was great, entrance was by a key card at the front door, so wasn't worried about any old Tom, dick or Harry walking in. The shared...

This was my second stay at the Edelweiss Guest House and again I was very pleased with the accommodation (single room with a sea view). They proprietors were able to accommodate my early check-in request, which was very much appreciated. The room was clean and comfortable and whilst not big in size, it catered for all I needed during my...

Stayed here with my wife at the end of July 2016 for an extended weekend. I always start with negatives and there are just two. The parking is on Douglas Promenade and there is a 24 hour limit. In practice, it's not too onerous having to move a car once a day but it is too easy to end up...

The Edelweiss Guest House, Douglas, Isle of Man, British Isles, is located off the promenade with sea views to the front. We stayed here for four nights and really enjoyed our stay. Our ensuite room was on the top floor and had two windows, one of which gave a view towards Port Jack and Onchan Head. The room had basic...

Let's get the negatives out the way first: The wash basin in our bathroom was one of those very annoying tiny - tiny - contraptions in which it was only just possible to clean your teeth. Other negatives? None. Shirley, The Edelweiss's owner, was helpful, friendly and most obliging. The room was clean, although slightly fading, and the bed was...
