We revisited this hotel for Easter with all the family - 6 adults and 6 children ranging in age from 7-14. We all had a wonderful relaxing time. The staff are caring and attentive in an understated way and the rooms were perfect for all of us. The location is quiet and away from all the hubbub of the touristy...

Wonderful Hotel in a stunning setting, the red squirrels, badgers and birds made our stay over Christmas complete. Set In a sheltered position meant we could spend several afternoons in the garden. Our accommodation was most satisfactory. Nice swimming pool. Cathy and John the owners could not have been more helpful. Cannot wait for our return visit.

It’s a shame I can’t review the badgers separately; they were quite a sight, wolfing down left over sausages just outside the windows in the bar. That said, if you consider staying here, and you want to know what to expect, here’s a hint: go back to the oldest reviews. You’ll note that as early as in 2005, people were...

Let me start by saying, if you're after modern luxury, this may not be the place for you. This place is a little shabby and rough around the edges but in the best possible way! If the owners spent a fortune changing the decor the whole feel of the place would be ruined. It is like going back in time...I...

We have just visited with our five grandchildren, and find the place as wonderful as it was on our first visit, 36 years ago! The Old Park is unique, and is the most child friendly hotel we have ever come across. The children love the grounds, the pool, the soft play, the entertainment and of course the children's high tea....

The bad: The person who runs this hotel (on reception and bar) was not friendly towards us from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. I felt regulars to the hotel got a completely different service. Babies arent allowed at adult dinner so unless you are ok with your babies being on the far side of the hotel...

Feels a little like you have stepped into a time warp - décor a little tired and old. But, it is great for kids - fantastic gardens, family suites, entertainment put on for the children - our son loved it. Most of the families we met were repeat visitors and all said that their kids loved it. Our son has...

We recently stayed at the Old Park for a large family gathering and found that previous reviews of the hotel were absolutely spot on. The hotel definitely has a unique feel to it and our first (very shallow) impressions were definitely completely wrong. Granted the decor in the rooms is a bit dated, however any initial misgivings about this are...

We have just got back from ventnor. We booked last minute and was chuffed to find a hotel with facilities for kids with accommodation. We had one room with seperate areas for kids to sleep. We had read mixed reviews but were still keen to try it out. We had an amazing weekend and were very pleased with the friendly...

We were already staying on the island when we found out some really good friends were staying here too and though we had concocted a plan we had to wait until they arrived and the Bank Holiday rush subsided before we could make our stay a two centred one! This is a hotel for the children. It is the adults...
