I stayed for one night and was given a friendly welcome. The location is handy for a variety of restaurants and pubs in Shanklin, yet manages to be very quiet. The room had everything I needed and a few thoughtful extras, the wecome was good, the breakfast was good and, most importantly, I got a good night's sleep. The price...

The room I had was a single ,it was small but that wasn,t a problem as there was a very nice lounge The owner told me the room had a power shower and I thought that doesn't look very powerful (Wrong ) it was brilliant .Mick the owner was very nice and he cooked a mean poached eggs on toast...

This room was picked for the location as my in laws live down the road and it was not too far away from Shanklin train station. It is in easy waking distance of both the sea front and old shanklin. Upon arrival I was shown to my room to which was due to be a single as I was travelling...

Very convenient location, just a stones throw throw away from the town center and very close to the beach. Hotel staff were very courteous and helpful and rooms were decent. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in shanklin.

We took two rooms; for ourselves and the children. Both rooms were ensure and clean and tidy, although the twin room had a better shower so we all ended up using that as the shower in the double really wasn't up to much. The building is very pleasant and well looked after, maybe dated decor but that didn't bother us...

We stayed here for one night. The furnishings were quite old fashioned, but there was free parking out the front, Mick was an excellent host and it was ideally located - about a 5 minute walk to both the town and the beach, which was really nice!

Yes the decor is a little dated, but the important things are all there.............Mick is very welcoming and relaxed which makes you feel so too. Everywhere is very clean and the breakfast is great, with nothing being too much trouble. The location is good for both the cliff top lift and the town, but far enough from the town to...

My prime reason for visiting Shanklin was to see friends who were appearing at the Shanklin Theatre so I just needed a room there. However, St George's House is ideally placed for the beach, the High Street and the Old Village and the theatre being equidistant from them all. My room, a single, was comfortable with all the facilities you...
