Arrived and was taken to our room. Big and bright. Cloth over dressing table dirty but apart from that clean. Was told that it was a 10am check out Sunday - which seemed a little early. Most places are 11/12 on a Sunday. They lady behind the bar checked and it was changed until noon. Happy visitor.

Was treated to a wonderful meal at the Avenue by my sister, for my birthday on Saturday 5th November. The food was exceptionally good, couldn't fault anything - the facilities were clean, service impeccable and the staff very friendly and accommodating without being intrusive. All in all a wonderful experience. We will be back

The family room was lovely and clean. The beds were unbelievably comfortable. Only downfall was the remote for the TVs. Most of the buttons didn't work. However that would not stop me staying there again with my family. Would recommend

My wife and I ate at the Vic Inn last Friday. I had the seafood platter which was delicious. The service was good also. Why do I have to put in 200 characters. That really puts me off writing reviews. Surely short and to the point is better!

Great pub, terrible depressing music on, asked to cheer it up, but more of the same... Could have a better atmosphere, it's a rainy Friday afternoon, to spend good money on drinks, it's slightly torturous to listen to bleak Whiney pop music, awkward to ask to have it changed, and to be fed more of the same after buying more... Very very noisy air vent.Took forever to turn itself off. Wardrobe about to topple on bed. No breakfast for price. Breakfast not cheap. Room looking very tired. Remote for tv had no back and lacked batteries. Unable to use vanity sink as metal plug was stuck. Very disappointed with room. Should have asked for a refund!

Walked in on a whim and had a wonderful lunch in this superbly run pub in the centre of Haddington. Attentive staff and wonderful service. The Avenue burger and vegetable crisps was large and very tasty. Good, also, to have a choice of battered or breaded fish. Thoroughly recommended.

We stopped off here for a drink a recent tour around the areas around Edinburgh. We though this pub friendly and a good fair price for the drinks we had. They have a nice outside seating area. We did not eat here on this occasion but thought the menu and prices looked good. We had past another bar or two... More

Stayed overnight and it wasn't cheap £100 for b&b for two. The entrance is grubby and the carpet and wall decor is worn. The room itself was large and the ensuite was huge. However the furniture was mismatched, the wallpaper painting was patchy and the room was very tired looking. Breakfast was fine. The ingredients were good. A couple of... More
