We stayed room number 1 for 2 nights of our honeymoon at the end of May, the room was lovely, large and bright. Freda and Steve were lovely hosts and the breakfasts were yummy! :-) The hotel is central so extremely handing for all the shops, pubs and the railway station, and we had the benefit of being able to...

Steve and Freda are great hosts. Although we only stayed one night, they made us very welcome, and Steve provided very good food (evening meal and full English breakfast) as well. Freda even organized for some of my belongings to be returned home, so an extra special thank you, and a good indicator of how well you can expect to...

This was one of the best B&B we stayed at during our latest stage of the South West Coastal Path walk. Freda and Steve were fantastic hosts - welcoming on arrival and very attentive without being intrusive during our short stay. The went the extra mile when one of our group needed to send to some clothes home . Accommodation...

Stayed here for one night over the bank holiday, Freda was lovely couldn't do enough for you, gave us tea on arrival and our rooms were ready to go to. You have to pre order your breakfast the night before but that wasn't a problem. The breakfast was lovely and fresh. The hotel itself needs some TLC, we had a...

We had dinner on our first night, and really enjoyed it, especially the fish pie! Breakfast was excellent, and again Freda was very conscious of distinguishing between normal and gluten free toast. Good parking, and close to the...

Freda & Steve made us feel very welcome on arrival. Tea was served within 10 minutes of arrival. Rooms were readily available even though we arrived early lunch time. Both our rooms were suitable to both myself and grandson whilst my wife had her own. Nothing is too much trouble for our hosts. Breakfast comes fast and served with a...

The Clifton is the best place to stay in Paignton. We have been back for the second year running and would not consider staying in any other accommodation. Freda and Steve are warm, welcoming hosts who are always pleased to welcome families with young children. The accommodation is clean and well maintained providing a comfortable stay. The breakfast (cooked by...

This is a fab hotel,we had a family room and double room, both were light and airy and spotless. Freda and Steve were most welcoming and the breakfasts of a morning were delicious. Its a stones throw from the beach and all of the shops.I would highly recommend The Clifton!!
