A little dated but clean. Great size room and bed was huge, just not particularly comfortable (hard mattress!) but comfy pillows and decent blackout curtains. Shower was hot but lacked any oomph! Staff very pleasant and food and drink was exceptionally well priced. Only real let down for me was the bed. But clean and fairly priced and I wouldn’t mind staying there again

The room was very dated In need of a refurb. The bed was rock hard pillows the same though bedding was nice and clean. Bathroom needs gutted I would be ashamed to put paying guests in there. Who ever though bog standard tiles with black grout looked clean and modern was very wrong, along side the white silicone, side of Bath looks tobe coming away horrible shower curtain. Spider living on the bathroom cieling and bits of cobwebs above the bed. The food was OK pub grub nice breakfast. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

We booked to stay here for two nights while we went to a festival. The staff are great welcoming and always happy to help. The rooms are nice for the price you pay with tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast is good and plentiful. Over all not disappointed we would book again.

The rooms need a revamp and have a few issues eg broken beds, damaged walls and doors etc . The staff are amazing especially in the evening…Suzanne , Jess and Rachael were especially helpful and good fun. Food is very good value for money and every day there is some kind of deal on. There are also some challenges which are fun ..I recommend trying the chip butty challenge 😂😂

Lovely two course meal for two at a very reasonable price. Nachos starter and gammon steak for my wife, chicken strips then steak for me. Both main meals served on a skillet which keeps them lovely and hot. Good wine and beer too. Very enjoyable, happy to go back again. Recommended

The pub was wonderful and I also enjoyed the #quiz very much. The atmosphere was very calming and enjoyably. I had friends with me from America who throughly enjoyed the old style of the pub accompanied by the clean aspect of the rooms.

Avoid this place is the worst hotel I've stayed in, the cleaning on the surface might look good but when you start looking you soon find the horrors, the bathroom fan didn't work, mould on shower hose, room lights did not work beside the bed, so a quick note the place is awful, would not stay here again and suggest you think twice before doing so.

We had a great stay here. Rooms are large and comfortable, all the staff are friendly and helpful, food in the pub is delicious. A few minutes walk away is a small town with pubs, restaurants and shops. Easy access to motorway network. Just a great place to stay

My Daughter and I stayed February 11-13 over the weekend as we were down visiting family. Rooms were lovely and the beds were nice and comfy. Wide range of choices on the breakfast menu! Warm welcome on arrival by Emma who was on top form during our stay! She really went above and beyond for us and would stay again based solely on her hospitality.

ORDERED 2 HUNTERS CHICKEN TOLD THERE WAS NO SKILLETS LEFT AND IS OK TO PUT ON PLATES YET AFTER WE received meals next table to ours they where served food on skillets, the chick was under cooked chips where tasteless compared to wetherspoons i would give them 2/10 will never go back again food frown on a plate send in gordon ramasey to sort out this mess and no i dont want a free dinner next time rather go to local chippy.
