I Visited this fantastic B@b a week ago, (very dog friendly, my dog was able to stay in the room in her crate) lovely location, rooms very comfortable with television and drinks, the bed was extremely comfortable. Had breakfast which was a continental, croissant, toast, jam, fruit, cheese cereal were all on offer as well as tea and coffee and...

We were warmly welcomed by the owners of this great B&B. Our room was full of character, spotlessly clean, and what really was great was the fact that they offered an evening meal. As we were tired, it was really good to be able to stay in, and have a wonderful meal cooked for us by such good cooks, a...

We stayed in this lovely family home for 5 days while my friend was playing a tennis tournament in nearby Barnstaple. The rooms were immaculate and breakfasts really tasty. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts and the whole stay was great value for money!

Earlier this week we stayed at the Round House in Lower Loxhore near Barnstaple and it was a very pleasant experience. However this is not an easy place to find and the number of roads closed at the moment make it harder to find than it than I imagine it usually is. However we visited both the nearby National Trust property...

A bit of a 'rabbit warren', up and down small flights of stairs trying to find our room which was very large and comfortable. We 'happened upon a night when there was' entertainment' and we thoroughly enjoyed listening to a guy playing both the guitar and the banjo. It seems popular with the 60+ age group, of which we just...

We think you may be confusing us with another Round House - there are a few in Devon. We are in Lower Loxhore, just north of Barnstaple. We never have had live music and serve breakfast ourselves in the kitchen. Looking at the date you posted your comment, we think your stay may have been while we were closed -...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Roundhouse is situated in the idyllic countryside of North Devon. We offer a friendly, family run, Bed & Breakfast (B&B) service. We are ideally located for Exmoor, beaches and beautiful coastal walks. The popular National Trust property, Arlington Court, is within walking distance and Wistlandpound Reservoir is well worth a visit. We have a book of favourite local walks in Loxhore. The Round House is a tastefully converted circa 17th Century barn, set in the idyllic countryside of North Devon. The house is full of character and beautifully decorated and furnished. We gave the house its names because of the lounge, which is round in shape. This is where donkeys were used, walking round in circles, to drive machinery to grind wheat. The house is set in 2 acres of gardens and paddock. ... more   less
