Stayed here two nights, at end of July, all good, room clean and bed comfortable, location couldn't really be better, shops, bars and various restaurants all within five minutes. The Lake, just around corner, also about five mins. Breakfast, more than adequate, quickly served, hot and filling. Car parking also available, which is very necessary here, all in all, very...

Stayed here two nights at very busy time. Lovely old building rooms decorated nicely but in keeping with character. Our room was small but for a couple staying just two nights was fine and cleaned with fresh towels daily. Very nice hosts too and for just five pounds for a pass to nearby hotel to use leisure facilities for length...

From a great welcome to sad goodbye the owners of this traditional b + b it was a great stay. Well positioned centrally on the town with all amenities within a very short walk. All types of pubs, cafes, shops and even a Tesco. They are all close at hand. We booked four rooms, all of which were different but homely....

Bang in the centre of Bowness is this quaint hotel. Looks small on the outside but its like a tardis when you get in with lots of rooms. Theres parking round the back and the owners are very friendly and accomodating, highly reccommended.

Found the Laurel cottage on booking.com for a decent price, we arrived on Friday at 6 o'clock and I must admit I was a bit miffed at the parking but having said that I wasn't in a good mood due to driving for nearly 3...

everything we good, nice breakfast between 8:30am and 9:30am, wifi was a bit patchy, ample parking in overflow car park, perfect location. Stayed with 22 month and nothing too much trouble, would stay again.

We stayed here for 4 nights and had a good experience. Owners were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was the same every day which is one of the reasons for losing a star.. We stayed there long enough to be put off by Engligh Breakfast every morning, or scrambled eggs :( I'd recommend a bit of variety, as it is really...

Very friendly owners, good location in nice quite street, easy walking distance into village centre for restaurants. Well equipped rooms, we had the four poster room. Bed very comfortable slept very well. Tea and coffee facilities, wifi, ensuit, sofa , tv with DVDs player. Good breakfast choice even could have specials. Only criticism was there is no toilet brush.

As the title says "its a great place to stay". If I start with the bad points don't worry there are very few. The carpark, its behind the cottage but up a very very steep hill and its not for the fait hearted, its even trickier if someone is trying to come down or trying to park at the top....
