It's a quaint place with a bit of a rustic feel. The lady who runs the B&B is nice and accommodating. The B&B is walking distance from Windermere which has several stores and restaurant, and is overall a very picturesque lake town.

I booked this place at the last minute a week before my departure, as it was the only left available in Bowness. We stayed here 5 days; average stay if you want to stay on a cheap accommodation , not much recommended if you stay for longer . clean , average size rooms, decent beds. Breakfast was quite poor if...

My wife and I had a beautiful time at Elim house in Lake District. We were able to park our hire car out the back and just go for walks without worrying about parking. Bowness is a beautiful town with lots of eating and walking options. The Beatrice Potter Attraction is must go for anyone as the life size diaramas...

The B&B was nice enough. We were in the lake district one a long weekend. The gardens out front were beautiful and if it hadn't poured rain our entire trip, it would have been a nice place to relax. The breakfasts were ok. Fresh fruit and yogurt would have been nice, but everything that was provided was tasty enough. Parking...

Clean and comfortable room with excellent ensuite facility. The two breakfasts we had were great and they accommodated us with some food to take away on one morning when we wanted an early start. Location is good - just off the main road running through the town. Couldn't fault it - it suited us and we'd not hesitate in going...

Elim House is a very convenient location for Bowness and our room was reasonably well equipped and acceptably clean. If you are thinking of booking Elim House however, it may be worth your while finding out if your allotted room is going to be in the main house or in the Out Building/Annex. Our room was in the latter and...

Annoying Then first night she knocked on my door as I was laughing, asking me to keep quiet .. Felt like she was my mother .. Ridiculous...

I do not normally reply to reviews which only tell part of the story but it amazes me that whenever guests are spoken to about their behaviour their first response is...'I'm going to give you a bad review'. Can they not see that other potential clients can see right through this. Firstly, you stated that you were arriving at 7.30...
