Stayed here with my girlfriend. Can't believe this place is only 3 star! We stayed for two nights and had dinner and breakfast included. Exceptional restaurant, really friendly staff and overall a lovely stay!

We stayed last night for a wedding nearby. The greeting on arrival was very pleasant as was the room. Lovely gardens surround the property and Bowness is only a short walk away. The staff were all very attentive and the breakfast was excellent, would stay here again.

Truly a garden house, as the extensive gardens were showing off their beautiful autumn colours. From the restaurant you can watch the birds joining you at breakfast on their feeders undeterred by the resident cat. We had a comfortable garden room with the french window opening on to a secluded area with table and chairs, and then on to the...

The Burn How is tucked away from the surprising bustle of Bowness, yet it is a five-minute walk to the pier, and about 10 to the center of town. It is in a lovely neighborhood, is surrounded by other guest houses, B&Bs, and larger hotels. I stayed a week in two different rooms; as a larger man, I found the...

Website, photos and description of hotel were not what we were given. Very 1960s sink in bathroom etc. Breakfast at 13.50 per person was not cheap so we opted elsewhere. Reception staff at times were not the friendliest although some were nice. Bedroom was dated, bathroom unclean in corners etc, very worn. Pictures on website make it look like a...

We were sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us. Our site shows all of our rooms, as we have various different ones around the site. As you booked through a third party web-site you were given the last double room available, this is why it is much better to phone direct and we can talk you through...

Half term this particular week, so my Polish wife wanted to take us and the kids to Wales. Yet again. So I suggested the Lakes instead, as she'd never been. So, the Lakes it was. As an aside, you do really need a car to explore it fully. We were limited to trains and taxis and our legs to get...

Unfortunately being where we are in the Lake District, we do not have such good coverage and speeds as in cities or where there are no hills to guarantee 100% Wi-Fi coverage all the time, even though we have high speed broadband. Thank you for your comments on your stay, and we were enjoying your travelogue. All the staff love...

We stayed in a superior Rose garden room. It was a beautiful room with parking attached. Breakfast was excellent. There is an extensive Dinner menu which was by an amazing chef. Mr Robinson is an extremely charming and professional man that made us feel very welcome.
