Stayed here with husband and four year old daughter for two nights. This hotel is a little gem. Different sort of hotel as rooms are chalets but we loved it. Room had a double bed and a single. Room had loads of light and a balcony. 5 minute walk into centre of Bowness. Breakfast was excellent. Food in restaurant was...

Stayed with family in a garden lodge room. Although the room was a little dated (not too dated mind) very clean and well appointed. Very good side with double, single and bunk beds. Bathroom very new and great. Lovely traditional hotel with good breakfast. Couple of minutes walk from town. Based in prices in area though it was very good...

When we arrived thought it was a bit dated, but what a fantastic stay a real little gem set back from the road so peaceful and easy walking into Bowness. We decided to eat there in the evening it was delicious and the service fantastic. They have thought of everything. The award winning breakfast was also faultless.

Nice place to be within walking distance of town and lake less than 10 minutes but away from it all, food both breakfast & dinner very good no complaints with the staff attentive and pleasant. Heating was good as it was freezing outside but warm & cosy in our room

Excellent rooms, nice grounds, superb breakfast (good egg yolk) and lovely staff. All in all, a fantastic stay. Right in the centre of York. Room was clean and very comfortable. Extra squishy pillows.

We have just arrived home a few hours ago and I feel I must share our experience of this excellent hotel. Ideal location just minutes walk to the town, yet once you pull up the hotels private drive you are in a little world of peace and quiet. Plenty of parking, which is always a bonus in the Lakes. We booked this hotel last minute, and as always a place to park my car is a must. Well, when we arrived, first impression, superb, lovely and a good location for Bowness on Windermere. Our room was our very own Garden Lodge with patio doors onto our balcony over looking a little garden, and your very own parking place right...
