We have just arrived home a few hours ago and I feel I must share our experience of this excellent hotel. Ideal location just minutes walk to the town, yet once you pull up the hotels private drive you are in a little world of peace and quiet. Plenty of parking, which is always a bonus in the Lakes. This...

We booked this hotel last minute, and as always a place to park my car is a must. Well, when we arrived, first impression, superb, lovely and a good location for Bowness on Windermere. Our room was our very own Garden Lodge with patio doors onto our balcony over looking a little garden, and your very own parking place right...

Very friendly and welcoming staff at reception and at breakfast, and what a great breakfast! Wide ranging cold buffet with plenty of fresh fruit (including raspberries, strawberries and blueberries) and a good a la carte hot menu. Rooms and very spacious and very warm - we turned one radiator off and the other down to 1/5. Nice gardens, peaceful environment...

The hotel is in walking distance of the town centre. It is very peaceful, we could hear no traffic noise at all. The room was spacious and very clean. The breakfast was excellent with a huge choice of fruit and cereals, followed by an extensive cooked menu. The staff were very polite and helpful. We will definitely be back!

We booked this hotel last minute. Couldn't have been happier with our choice. Fab location, short stroll into thick of Bowness. Lovely room, modern bathroom, easy parking. The breakfast was definitely one of the best we've had. The only slight criticism I have is the room was to hot through the night even with the window wide open. This also...

Lovely little hotel, staff nice and friendly. Our room was clean spacious with comfortable beds and a modern shower.... couldn't fault it. Breakfast was very nice , plentiful and good quality. We sat in the dining area overlooking the garden where a lot of birds were feeding - blue tits, robins...was lovely to experience that at breakfast time. We would...

Well what an amazing place. I'd booked this in September, having looked briefly at TripAdvisor reviews, as a surprise birthday weekend for my husband. Welcome on arrival was very courteous and friendly and they advised us they'd put us in the best room of the hotel - Bay - which was really so very lovely. The room itself is amazing;...

We went to the Lake District for the very first time and had booked this hotel in advance. We got a very nice large room en suite, in Victorian style. Our car can just be parked in front of the room which is actually a small house with inner garden share with other 2 rooms. The breakfast was good and served...
