I have pictures of myself as a child standing under the sign for the Belsfield Hotel, which was the nearest I ever got to visiting it. This Sunday however, 50 years later, I had the opportunity to go inside and have Sunday lunch. We were seated at a window table in the formal dining room and although there were not...

We had a fabulous room at the Belsfield (36) over-looking the lake, four poster bed and great bathroom - recommended. The staff are great - very attentive, polite and engaging. The food was disappointing with steak served with Macaroni cheese...Sea bass served with sprouts and onions...3 massive wedges of pate (not very delicate) & malt bread with cheese. A real...

I had been promising to bring a friend to the Belsfield for some time after I had visited last year and we eventually managed it today. We opted for the two course Sunday lunch, which, at £19.95, we thought was very good value for money. I started with the white onion soup and small cheese toastie and my friend had...

What a treat! The Dining Room is beautiful, the meal was delicious! All the staff were very attentive without intrusion. It was a delightful treat and we will return! Even though it was not a very pleasant day weather wise the views from the dining room were lovely. The hotel is accessed from a small road that runs parallel to...

We arrived on a dreary afternoon and parked the car easily. Good size car park. Sterile looking and feeling reception area. Two small check in desks and a few scattered chairs but very pleasant staff.Check in was after Two pm,we didn't spot any concierge which i thought would have been a nice addition. After a small walk through the bar area...

Booked a deal through Secret Escapes for a birthday weekend getaway. The Belsfield is a beautiful Victorian building renovated sympathetically and subtly with the addition of Laura Ashley furniture & decor which blends in to give the old place a serene feel. The glass reception area adds that modern touch. There is a large drawing room to relax in, small...

It's an old building with some modern additions. Rooms are fine but en suite had less room than the wardrobe!! Sitting on the toilet my knees were right against the heated towel rail in front of me. Not ideal to say the least. Conference rooms are fine but smell old. They could do with sprucing up. Restaurant is nice. Food...
