I had my wedding here in March 2017 and what an amazing day it was, the venue is beautiful and the grounds are incredible so perfect for photographs. We could not be happier with our choice of venue and we were so lucky to have so much help on the lead up to the wedding from the girls (Serena &...

Beautiful, relaxing cottages facing in to a gorgeous courtyard. Hot showers with tub. All appliances and furnishing look new and impeccable. Room was a bit cold in the afternoon, so we requested the radiators be left on during the day and it was taken care of.

This has been chosen as a family wedding venue. Visited last week's wedding fayre. The whole building has been renovated to an excellent 5 star standard. The cottages are truly magnificent. Can't wait to spend a weekend here next year.

My wife and I stayed in the cottages for the past week. It has been the best stay we could ever ask for. The cottage was done to a very high spec and it felt like home for us. Serena and the team went the extra mile to ensure a memorable visit. By far the best cottage experience we have...

Thank you we had a wonderful time staying in the beautiful Fitz Simon cottage. The setting is stunning, very peaceful, with amazing views. The cottage was warm and inviting and the beds were very comfortable, a perfect place to stay for a short break in Yorkshire. The Yorkshire biscuits and the white company toiletries were an added treat!

We attended the C S S at the Priory to support BloominYorkshire's stand and our daughter Janice. The Priory is really 'out in the sticks' and I had my doubts about the venue. It was a very pleasant surprise to arrive at the busy car park, well organised by young marshals. The hall/marquee was perfect for this event, with numerous...

We got married at the Priory on 01st October 2016 but the first time we visited the Priory was at a Wedding Fayre that was held in the January of 2015. As soon as was drove up to the venue, I was blown away by its 'kerb appeal'. The drive up to the venue, a single track road over farmers...

I have just returned from a residential at the Priory and it was absolute bliss! Perfect scenery, atmosphere and hospitality. The venue served a great purpose for 15 colleagues - for both training and meal times . We were welcomed with a smile and presented with a beautiful clean charming cottage stay. The open space was refreshing and full of...

Suspect this is a little hidden gem. Clean and modern in a historical setting. Run by a fantastically friendly family. Little Poppy the cocker spaniel will also melt your heart😀 We have been 3 times now over 8 years or so and have never been disappointed.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
ion: We have 7 newly built cottages, which are architecturally in keeping with the Priory, which is believed to have been built around 1160. We have named the Cottages after the Prioresses who ruled the Priory until the dissolution of the monasteries around 1536 when it had 12 nuns in residence. The building and estate was then bequeathed to Robert Tempest by King Henry VIII and is now a working farm.Creating a new complex of cottages, courtyard gardens, preserving a barn and a Priory has been a challenge but a worthwhile one as we are sure that you will appreciate the peaceful ambience that exists amidst a fascinating mixture of ultra modern amenities, contemporary furnishings and historical artefacts and architecture. All accommodation is professionally designed and each cottage is individually styled within a different theme. They are beautifully appointed to an extremely high standard with quality contemporary furnishings and close attention to detail. Each kitchen is fully equipped with every modern convenience, including electric and microwave ovens, ceramic hob, refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer and ironing facilities. ... more   less
