Lovely B&B and great breakfasts. Rooms are huge and really comfortable and clean. Had a few drinks and game of rock and roll bingo in the pub in the evening. Really friendly and helpful staff who advised on where to go around the area for food and things to do.

This is a real gem on all fronts. The rooms are very comfortable and large. The bed and pillows were particularly appealing. The area is a quiet residential location but close to Beverley town centre. Cannot fault Jim and his dedicated team. Nothing was too much trouble. Included in the very reasonable tariff is a full English breakfast cooked to specific requirements. Alternatively, there are lots of other options on the menu. We were made to feel very welcome by Jim and his team and enjoyed the hospitality on offer, including the company of local friendly residents. If you’re in the area try this great venue. You won’t be disappointed. Hard to find anywhere that offers so much for so little. Even free dog treats! A great dog friendly place to stay. Thanks Jim and Co. Hope to see you again soon!

Excellent from start to finish. The rooms are HUGE, clean and comfortable and WOW, that shower is AMAZING! Food is fresh, home made, reasonably priced, piping hot and comes out quick. Decent ale and wine too. Service was great with attentive staff. What more can I say. Bravo those guys!

Came for the pie night. Great food with a fair price tag attached to it. I had the steak pie, big portion and lots of gravy! The chef was very attentive which is refreshing. Front of house was nice just a few teething issues which will be sorted I am sure as they get on their feet. Will be back again.

Nice b&b over a busy but not rowdy pub. The room was really nicely decorated . Staff really nice. Lovely breakfast. Good value for money. There’s not much more you need for a short stay, and of course Beverly is lovely. We’ll be back

From the website the Game Bird looks an inviting boutique hotel. It certainly bears no resemblance once through the door. It is actually a noisy local pub on quite a busy road. The superior room, whilst spacious, was very dark and the bedding was far from inviting. Only one thin small towel per person was provided and we had to ask for toiletries. The whole place needs a good wash and brush up. The restaurant was closed, breakfast was freshly cooked but served in a manner more akin to a transport cafe. The owner is very affable and we did express our opinions to him before we left. However, we felt that there would be little chance that he would take them on board.

Stayed for a couple of nights when on business. The owner met me on Monday night, as the pub isn't open and looked after me throughout my stay. Very friendly staff, lovely comfortable rooms and a cracking breakfast I would definitely stay here again. Made to feel so welcome

We stayed here on Saturday night as we was attending a wedding in Tickton we checked in at 5 and was greeted by a lovely lady who was very friendly and showed us to the room, the room was large and spacious the lights were not bright at all quite hard when trying to get ready. Room was clean as well as the bathroom, had a drink in the bar only had one as found it not very inviting, the night morning we took a shower to no hot water the breakfast was OK. X

We recently visited the Game Bird In Beverley for one night stay. Its got good bad and ok areas for us. Good Friendly manager Nice modern rooms Parking Clean bedding and towels Lots of wardrobe space Pub closed to locals at 11:15 and true to his word they were out as to not Effect the residents. Warm Bad Area seems a bit rough, it is situated in the middle of a residential estate, where clearly a drug drop off going on up the road as we headed in to town. Nothing they can do about that though. It’s roughly 25 min walk. Football and rugby on the tv every single minute. No music or nice intimate atmosphere. No candles on tables at night. The place could look beautiful with some extra touches. Locals frequented the place and wasn’t all that friendly to be honest. You definitely need an eye mask to sleep. The smoke detectors have green lights on and was really bright at night. We had no hot water for a shower the next day. Wasnt bothered as we headed straight home. Someone obviously doesn’t like replacing light bulbs as these were missing throughout the pub and rooms. Light is terrible for ladies to do make up in the rooms. Ok Good night sleep for me really, mattress was ok although could feel the springs in it. Pillows nice enough. Ok breakfast. Cheap coffee though. Cleanliness was ok. It’s an old place so can’t be perfect. All in all our stay was fine for what we wanted, cheap and cheerful. Wouldn’t return if we wanted a bit of luxury.
