A family member hired the Priory for his 50th for a long weekend and it was fantastic. It is a very interesting building with plenty of history. It's right next to the minster and 2 minutes walk from the town centre making it ideal. There's plenty of bedrooms to suit all sizes of family, and the kitchen area and function...

Great historic place, with an atmosphere! Central location, next to the Minster! (probably because this was the Friary?). Only the parking were a bit tricky, but all together it was a very positive experience! It is a perfect place to run away from a noisy city!

Well, this YHA hostel is amazing and so close to the amenities whilst retaining the quiet serenity of a friary. My wife and two children stayed her and were lucky enough to enjoy a room with en-suite services. The room was fantastic and the children love the bunk beds. the self catering area is large and a great place to...

The end of a 210 mile cycle ride. The hostel is well situated just behind the Minster and I think the oldest hostel in the UK. We had a private en suite room which looked onto part of the garden and the Minster. A very interesting medieval building, with a friendly greeting from the Warden. The beds, bunk type were comfy and...

I stayed there for one night. I check in early in the morning and told them I will be back around midnight. When I return at night, they have been very kind to put me in a empty dorm so that I do not disturb other people when I am back at night. Very comfortable bed, the dorm are very...

I stayed here during a five day cycle trip. Very warm welcome on arrival and a secure place to lock up my bike. Very clean rooms and a great shower. Usual kitchen facilities and lovely gardens to relax in. Situated next to the Minster and only 5 minutes walk to the town centre.

You don't need WiFi when you are staying in a Treasure of a building. Just sit in the dining room/kitchen and stare at the stone walls and the mullioned windows and enjoy the privilege of getting to spend a night or two in such a wonderful historic building.

Stayed here in early March 2016 with a group of friends/colleagues. We hired the entire building exclusively for two nights and actually held a mini conference there. My friends and I are members of the Ghostfinder Paranormal Society and carried out a professional paranormal investigation over the two nights. The building is very comfortable, large and full of character. There...
