Called in again after almost a year and it's still has character and pleasure. Decently priced and tasty lunch for four of us. Nice to see the old place and we wonder what happened to the Johns family who managed it for many years. By the way we're left wondering about complaint listed here about dog restrictions. There are acres...

Went here today with my family and our two small dogs and feel badly cheated by their website which gives the impression of this being a dog friendly place. The £2 fee for the 'Toll Road' stated no dogs on the beach (fair enough), but the only place they could go was the car park or the dark and shady...

Used the Hartland Quay Hotel as a luncheon halt for our car club tour. Notwithstanding 40+ people descending on the hotel at once, all wanting food and drink in short order, new proprietors, Donal & Sarah Stafford took it all in their stride and dealt with us most courteously and efficiently Fed and watered, we were on our way again...

Great old style sea pub! In the summer make sure you get in early else you will be disappointed. Ideal for walkers to break up the day and have a short rest. We had liver and bacon it was good for what it cost loads of liver and mash short on bacon but when you look at what it cost...

My wife, myself and my daughter met friends here for lunch. It has been a favourite of ours for a long time. It has recently been transformed into a brighter, more comfortable venue. The food and service was excellent, and very good value. The licensees were on hand to ensure everything was as it should be. I would hope to...

Stopped off here today after a coastal walk. Service great, nice friendly traditional pub with bar snacks for around a fiver- jumbo sausage and chips, chicken and chips, sandwiches and pasties are served all day and there is also a lunch and evening menu. Fantastic location with stunning views. Also dog friendly.

To be honest, this was something of a disappointment. We were midway through a superb coastal walk from Hartland Point and stopped for lunch. The lunch was OK but nothing special. The barman was not the most friendly I have come across. The overall impression is that this place trades on its location and isolation and without that you just...

We stayed here for 1 night after long walk, dog friendly only in the expensive annex! Staff in pub very young and inexperienced had no idea of bus timetable as they said they didn't use them, wouldn't take long to find info on internet which is what we did eventually. We paid for cooked breakfast but had to leave early...

We were cold and wet on a cold and wet February day. We had walked around the head land and arriving by the hotel, the aroma of Sunday lunch had all our mouths watering. We entered the warm and welcoming bar and after removing our wet outer layers we order hot chocolate and a beer of which both were very...

We didnt stay but Went there on Saturday for Father in law's birthday lunch .... and it as mediocre at best. Its a great location and the inside is warm and cosy but the food certainly didnt feel home made and all pretty basic. I wouldnt recommend for a pub lunch.
