Stayed at Surfhaven for two nights on a walking weekend with some friends. We could not have been made more welcome by Caroline and Peter, our hosts. The room was so tastefully decorated and absolutely spotless with a large en suite with fluffy towels and plenty of hot water. Breakfast could not have been better with lots of choice, great...

I stayed with Peter and Caroline in their place in Looe where they created the most wonderful b&b and so was interested to see what they had done with their new place when they relocated to Bude. These two hospitality industry naturals have done it again, only better: The bedrooms that Peter and Caroline have created are incredibly stylish and...

We loved our 4 night stay (walking South West coastal path with 2 girlfriends) Bright, spacious, spotlessly clean room with a huge comfy bed overlooking the golf course and down to the sea. How magical waking up to the sound of the the surf... Big wardrobe with plenty of hangers, huge en-suite shower room, kettle and fridge in room with...

Spent four nights with two friends to do some walking on the South West coast path. Ideally situated just 300 yards from the beach - I could here the rumbling waves in the distance from my bedroom with the window open. Lovely bright large room, en suite bathroom, with a bath with masses of hot water for soaking tired muscles....

In a street where every other house is a B&B, Surf Haven stands out on just about all criteria. Elegant, contemporary design, comfortable, good-sized bedrooms, supersoft bath towels, great breakfast and most importantly, a warm welcome from the hosts, Caroline and Peter. The house is very convenient for joining the coastal path and good pubs/restaurants within 2-3 minutes walk, which...

Return trip for us. This time 5 of us took 3 of the 4 rooms. The B & B is still as fresh and clean and well tended as last year when we visited. The hosts, Caroline and Peter, still are very attentive, nothing is to much trouble for them. The beds are fresh and very comfortable, the en suites...

We stayed here on a wet and windy walking weekend for 2 nights. The hosts could not have done more to ensure that our stay was perfect. Lovely clean rooms, nice views, toileteries that made you want to go out and buy same, and friendly hosts. Breakfast was delicious, wifi was easy, rooms were a good size and easy to...

Caroline and Peter couldn't have been more amazing. They emailed me following booking and upon hearing it was my partner's birthday recommended local places to eat. On arrival to both the room and breakfast they had put out decorations too. The room itself (#4) was spacious and light with an incredible view of the beach to the right. The amenities...

Our third visit and we have still not been disappointed. Nothing is too much trouble for Caroline and Peter from the moment you arrive until you leave. Accommodation and food still A1. Great location from which you can walk to both the town and beach with lovely view out over the golf course.

We have been to Bude many times and really love the place. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the room and the little attention to detail items that make a difference. Our room had a small fridge which was really useful. Peter and Caroline go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. The breakfast is fantastic...
