Went on the off chance for an evening meal, they had a wedding in progress, which seemed very well organised, even so they found us a table straight away and the waiter/waitress gave excellent service considering how busy the kitchen, must have been and the meal it's self was excellent and very well priced would recommend.

This Hotel has a great location beside the canal, in the centre of town. Full of ambiance, with comfortable, spacious rooms. The staff were helpful and courteous, and breakfast was excellent with a large menu to choose from.

The hotel is a superb piece of history preserved with all the mod cons. We had room 31 which is a lovely suite with a nice view of the beach. The food was excellent and the selection of wines , local ales and spirits a joy. The staff are all very friendly and keen to help. The hotel is 5...

We hadn't of stayed at the Falcon for a few many years, but decided to have a break away without the children! The hotel is still a very relaxing top quality hotel to stay in. Everything was perfect. All of the staff were very professions & friendly. We stayed in room 1 (suite) with a request of champagne / flowers...

I've stayed at the Falcon on occasion for 20 years, and it has always been a favourite. It's in the classic style, so if you're looking for a boutique hotel you will need to look elsewhere, but it is comfortable and friendly. The Breakfasts are excellent and large and the evening meals are first rate. Locations wise it is near...

My wife and I stayed at the Falcon at easter; have to say a lovely clean and tidy hotel, friendly and helpful staff and all round good service, the room was lovely with sea views and a sitting room! (Room 31). The only niggle we had was with the restaurant, the food was lovely but they were short 3 items...

Only stayed here for one night, on a whistle stop tour of Cornwall, but hope to return. All of the staff we came into contact with were very helpful and professional. The room was nice and large, dinner and breakfast were excellent. Only a short walk from the beach, and located next to the historic canal. Thoroughly recommended.

Wedding anniversary today! 29 years......in all the sunshine we decided to visit Cornwall. Passports stamped and visas checked we headed for Bude. Naturally, at midday, we thought of lunch. After a recommendation from one of John's Kitchens supporters, namely Bob, we tried the Falcon Hotel. We were not disappointed!! We sat outside looking across the canal. Two delightful sandwiches, mine...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Overlooking the historic Bude Canal, with lovely walled gardens and just a short walk to the beaches and shops, the Falcon Hotel has a most attractive location. Established in 1798, it still retains that old world charm and atmosphere. The bedrooms are very well appointed, and have flat screen televisions with freeview and Sky. The hotel has an excellent local reputation for the quality of food, both in the Coachman’s Bar and Tennyson’s Restaurant. ... more   less
