Our room was the opposite of the couple traveling with us. Theirs was the upstairs room with the bay window, very spacious, excellent bathroom, extra amenities. The comparison to ours made it so much worse. The room was small, which would have been OK, except the bathroom was postage stamp sized, and my wife suffers claustrophobia! The restaurant bar was...

We had the pleasure of staying at this Hotel for 3 nights. The hotel is very friendly, and very clean. Its situation on Leny Road is perfect with ample parking spaces (although a wee bit tight). Directly across the street from the hotel is a large parkland area with a start to many of the popular walks beginning there. The food...

Always a lovely welcome from John and Susan. Best whisky selection ever, I believe around 135, awesome and slightly smaller but selective gin offering. Well executed food, my favorites scallops to start, then the local venison followed by sticky toffee pudding, then retire to lovely comfortable rooms. Ample parking and a short stroll into town. What is not to like....

Stayed in this hotel for one night, as we were passing through. Hotel was very clean and comfortable. Interiors were to a high standard. Waitress staff were helpful and polite. Other hotel users were very noisy on the landing going to bed. We weren't made aware on our arrival that the restraunt would get very busy in the evening, and...

We booked the restaurant whilst staying in Callander. The menu choices were so good and varied that I wish we had been staying in the area longer so that I could have returned to sample other main courses. The food was excellent quality and reasonably priced. There is a good wine selection and of course many gins and whisky to...

Everything about this beautiful little establishment is perfect - cleanliness, quaintness, staff, service, location, aspect, rooms, decor and restaurant, We stayed two nights and the meals were better than some Michelin Star restaurants in which we've eaten. The management and staff put in the effort and the results are obvious.

Went to Poppies with my wife. We rang and booked, and upon arrival were seated in the bar area. Here an impressive gin list was given to my wife to choose her tipple. Food orders were taken, and after a short while we were shown to our table. The food was prompt, and quite pleasing. The service was good and...

Very welcoming host. Stayed one night, we were lucky to get a cancellation. Very comfortable extra large bed, quiet room. Enjoyed fresh fruit, yogurt, toast and coffee for breakfast. Would stay again. Off road parking.

Poppies is an excellent hotel.....and more. We had one of our best meals during our 10 day Scottish holiday in their restaurant. Our room was on the top floor and was terrifically clean and spacious. The restaurant, for both breakfast and dinner was thoroughly enjoyable. You won't be disappointed if you chose to stay here. Book ahead of time to...
