We were given gift voucher at Christmas and decided to have relaxing night away before a hospital admission. Nice welcome, lovely superior room. Had meal in restaurant (Master chef watch out). All going well till coffee time, fire alarm went off and no one seemed to be able to fix it . At 3 am people returning from a party...

Highly recommend this hotel. Was greeted and made very welcome by the owner Susan. Room was spacious and spotless. The food is on another level. We are both in the catering trade and we both agreed that the food served at this restaurant is Mitchellin Star level. We sampled pidgeon, Duck and Chicken and all dishes were excellent. The food...

Very friendly service and great location but small rooms. The food was very good. We ate both breakfast and dinner at the hotel during our 1 night stay. The bar has a huge selection of Scotch Whisky!! I was in heaven!!

First of all, I should commend the fabulous young waitress who served us at dinner - she could not have been more helpful or pleasant. However, it's a shame that the manager/owner who was in charge did not have the same lovely manner. We had a very disappointing meal. We had stayed at Poppies before - the room was disappointing...

We stayed for three night in the poppies. The breakfast was very good, however , our room was far below the standard: the room was too small, the bed was too small, washingtable was not in the bathroom but a very small one in the corner of the bed room , the bathroom was 2 square meters for one toilet...

Friendly and comfortable hotel. Our room was very spacious and modern, a lovely big bathroom and stunning views of the countryside. Amazing that we had wifi in our room that actually worked!!! Breakfast was fresh and tasty and locally sourced. Would highly recommend for a weekend break.

We stayed recently at Poppies Hotel during the Jazz Festival in Callander which coincided with our anniversary. We had stayed with them previously but not for a while. It has been refurbished since we were last there and its very nice. The meal we had on Jazz night was excellent value for money and we enjoyed the atmosphere in the...

Have passed through Callander for many years but never stopped here until recently. Wish we had known sooner! Our party of 3 adults and a toddler arrived unexpectedly for lunch and were welcomed in a warm and friendly manner. The food was of a high quality and a very reasonable price. The whole experience was a very positive one and...

We booked three rooms for our 4-night stay at Poppies. Two large rooms were nice, clean and comfortable. The single room was small but comfortable for one. The bathroom was very tiny, with the sink in the bedroom. The breakfast was good and service by staff was prompt. Dinners were well presented and very tasty. Nice to enjoy a beverage...
