Having looked round for a cheap room in the area for the night felt we got real value for money here. Staff were friendly and accommodating and room was incredibly clean and finished to an unexpectedly high standard considering the price paid. Good home style pub grub in the restaurant. Very pleasantly surprised!

Four of us popped in on a Friday night , not booked. Very friendly welcome from all staff. Nice menus with some specials on the board . To be honest I can't remember what we all had. What I do rememember is the service was excellent , the food good , the beer fresh . All had three courses and... More

We have been here many times, but unfortunately we feel standards have dropped. Previously there was always a friendly greeting from all staff encountered and some good banter, however we didnt find this to be the case on our most recent visit.

Looking for a new venue for Sunday lunch we opted for here as we have passed it so often. Much larger than expected parking reasonable, service and welcome very good, a choice of smaller plates for main course very welcome. Menu choice good Sunday roast plus alternatives. The restaurant was clean but the decor need a freshen up we will... More

The new Landlords were extremely helpful, the food excellent, and the staff brilliant. The rooms were spot on. A perfect location for Sopley Mill. Nothing was too much trouble for them - Tip Top!! If you have been before and not been happy, try again, the new Landlords are spot on with their helpfulness and kindness.

Hello. On arriving we were quickly guided to our lovely room. It has everything we need and some nice little touches too (chocolate on the pillow and cafetiere coffee). Pleasant view of the countryside too. Now to try the pub grub and local ale out.....

I've stayed at the Fishermans many times. It's a great pub serving excellent food, much of it certified as being from the New Forest. Good sized portions and a good selection. The bar is lively with the "Early Doors" locals which creates a good atmosphere. The Australian barman is excellent. Very professional and a credit to the organisation. Knows his... More

Been here before but still run very poorly. The waitress had no answers to the un cooked chips? The place is very run down and badly needs re- furbishment and fresh start with new staff. The Guiness was a nice pint though.

Run of the mill pub grub, nothing special. Run of the mill booze, nothing special. Run of the accomasation, nothing special. The main exception is the very young and hard working staff. Other than that just your regular old fullers pub.
