Nestled on the main road into Enniskillen, Killyhevlin Lakeside Hotel & Lodges boasts a location that has garnered acclaim from many for its breathtaking views, enhancing the visitor experience. While the rooms offer comfort and picturesque lake vistas, some guests have pointed out inconsistencies with cleanliness and advertised features. The service receives a mix of feedback, with the staff being commendable for their friendliness, though occasionally the service speed falters. Despite the overall cleanliness and the tranquil, well-decorated atmosphere of the hotel, some travelers question the value, feeling the prices are steep relative to the offerings, notably in amenities where updates are suggested.

Stayed in Lodge 1 for 2nights over the weekend. The photos on the internet really do, do it justice. It was clean and well presented, yes there were chipped paint & dents in places but that comes with territory. The lodge had everything you need to be self sufficient. There was coffee, tea, sugar and milk in the lodge on arrival and enough for a week in my view.
The views from the living area were amazing even though it was raining for most of the trip. We had one double bed and two singles in the rooms but as stated each had an en suite.
One tip for people staying here is the heating. The way to get it to come on is pick the temp on the thermostat & then press the big green button in the cleaning cupboard in the kitchen. We had to ask as none of us could figure it out.
Each morning we had breakfast in the restaurant & it really was worth the money £14 full cooked breakfast or £10 cold breakfast. Each evening we eat in the bar & grill which has some tasty food. The sirloin was lovely & so was the lamb shank.
Definitely worth a stay, we will be returning!

My daughter & I took advantage of the midweek break deal after a particularly stressful time & we thoroughly enjoyed our stay & what fantastic value for money!
Free parking, a huge comfortable room & impeccable staff.
We really enjoyed the pool, especially the outdoor hot tub & made use of these on both days.
The food - wow! From the massive breakfast on both mornings (although one or two waitresses were a bit stressed) to our cream tea one afternoon & then the dinner - it’s a long time since we’ve had such a delicious meal, perfectly cooked & presented.
Our room was at the front of the hotel but it was blissfully quiet at night. Bath & separate shower in a large bathroom with complimentary smellies - we couldn’t have asked for more.
We can’t wait to return!

We stay in the Killyhevlin after Christmas every year And have done for the past 7 years. It is always booked in advance and Jackie in reservations is always a pleasure to deal with. This year our new addition came with us and whilst we were initially apprehensive about taking a babybto this establishment we cannot thank and praise the staff enough. From booking with Jackie to arriving to a friendly and helpful reception who ensured we were well looked after as a family of 3 now. The cleaners were so accommodating and quick when we needed a cot put in and the young waitress who looked after us and ensured we had a peaceful afternoon tea (even with a baby) went beyond her role. Really look forward to returning again to this wonderful hotel. Thank you to all those staff who made the experience so pleasant.

Stayed here on 15/03/2020 with my partner. We paid for a premium double lakeview room and were given room 253 (labelled the Cole Suite), if you are offered this room I would advise you request to change.

The room was extremely warm and stuffy which management seem to be aware of as there was a fan in the room.

We were unable to have our windows open as the room was also located beside what appears to be a drainage pipe (roughly 15/20 ft high), water was constantly pouring out on to the ground throughout the night making a very loud irritating noise.

We had to rely solely on the fan to keep the room temperature down (in the middle of March???) and with a lack of sockets near the bed this proved extremely difficult. It was probably the worst night sleep I have had in any hotel.

To sell the room as lakeview is also very stretched, the view consisted mostly of the hotel building and trees, you can only really see the lake from a certain angle.

On top of this the room wasn't the cleanest, their were stains on one of the chairs and one of the bed throws plus one of the TVs did not work.

We also did not rate the food in the Lakeside Grill very highly and actually resorted to getting a kebab from a nearby kebab shop later in the evening.

One positive however was the bathroom, it was extremely large and spacious and had both a shower and a bath.

Overall a very disappointing stay, I had heard and read great reviews but unfortunately I can not add to those.

We stopped on our way home from a few days in Donegal for something to eat. Thank goodness we had the idea of Googling the hotel number and booking a table. We were greeted at the front door by one of the managers wearing a face mask. He was very friendly and explained we needed to have our temperatures read and to sanitize our hands before entering the hotel. He even had a hand held thermometer he used on kids who also seemed to love the Teddy bear sanitizer stand. He was keeping a record of contact phone numbers for everyone who came in the door and checking people had bookings and some people were asked to wait outside if they hadn’t booked. We followed the floor mats to the hosting station where we were met by Mostafa who showed us straight to our table and explained about using the table number when asked by staff. There was loads of room to pass between tables and they were well organised. Tasha was very helpful and explained the menu. All the staff wore NHS style full face shields which was comforting, but made it hard to hear them at times. Drinks were served to the table. We enjoyed great food, very tasty and good-sized portions with plenty of people watching on the side. Staff were very good at cleaning tables and seats in between customers and the manager didn’t re-use tables straight away. We loved to have stayed longer but there was rest of the drive home to do yet. We will definitely be back for an overnight stay and to try out the pool!

Dear "Ashley B" We hope you enjoyed your break in Donegal and are delighted you called for something to eat with us at Killyhevlin Lakeside Hotel and Lodges. At the moment we highly recommend making a reservation for dining on any day of the week for any meal whether it's lunch, snacks, afternoon tea, grill menu or dinner in Kove. It helps us allocate tables and keep our social distancing plans in place. We're a popular spot for dining and its awful to make people wait or worse still, turn them away to enable us to control numbers. Thank you for making a reservation in advance of your arrival. Our Teddy Bear sanitiser holder is very cute and helps our little visitors clean their hands - they are keener and better than some of the adults!! We were lucky to source these from a reputable local supplier. We are taking temperature readings and have a non-contact forehead thermometer for children and those adults who prefer this method to the digital reader. It is an industry recommendation to we take the details of guests coming into to the premises to assist with traceability should there be a localised incident and rest assured the information is not used for any other purpose. Thank you for the special mentions for our staff who are working hard in these strange times with the added and new discomfort of face shields. We'll include them in our Employee of the Month nominations. We appreciate your compliments on our food and service and we look forward to the opportunity of welcoming you back again for a longer break the next time, keep safe, kindest regards, Leigh Watson, HR Manager.

Book a night in this lovely hotel for our 30th anniversary as we had stayed there on our honeymoon all those years ago. On arrival reception was very busy due to a wedding party arriving, but reception printed out menus for evening meal and allocated us room 158. On entering this room we thought it odd ( being December) that all the windows were fully open and a fan was in the room. Room was a bit warm but we left to get tea. My wife had chosen a Chineses curry from the menu. But when ordering was told we had been given the wrong menus. So to my wife’s disappointment we had to order again with no Chineses curry insight. When returning to room it’s was even hotter even with fan fully on. The room was that hot we had to open the door a few times to try to cool down but the heat was unbearable. In the morning we were in a rush and hadn’t time to complain as reception busy again. My wife phoned a few days later to complain, but was brushed off saying yes that room is hot and if we call again we might get an upgrade. So obviously there was a know problem with the heating but management still happy to take full payment knowing the room had a problem. Very annoyed as the rest of the hotel was lovely.

We’ve just come home from our first stay in a Lodge called Larch. We were advised by email in advance of our arrival to ring and let the hotel reception know our estimated arrival time and were then told to drive down to the lodges where we would be met at our allocated Lodge. Deborah met us and explained the new Covid safe method for registration. A sanitised pack was left in the lodge with all the necessary paperwork, key, even our own pen! The lodge was spotless and really did have everything we needed. Deborah explained if we needed anything the contact was through ringing the hotel reception and she or one of her team would be back with anything we needed. We were there for a self-catering experience so we didn’t need anything. We had checked beforehand about local visitor attractions and knew what was open and had made our bookings. We did decide as a treat to dine in the hotel and walked up from our lodge to the side door beside the little red train, which appears to be a very popular train. On arrival we were advised to go over to the concierge desk where temperatures were checked and we all passed, hands were sanitised and table booking was checked. All was very efficient and painless and certainly gave us confidence that the hotel knew was it was doing. A short queue at the host point was quickly dispersed and we were seated by Carol who knew the menu inside out. Kate had a great welcome for us all and we felt like regulars. The children enjoyed goujons and chips with dips while we had a sharing platter followed by a steak sandwich and a Killy fish butty. We were full up. We were well treated and Georgina and Riona had plenty of time for the children and told them about the new on-site play area while Vita was busy checking we were happy. We rolled back down the path to our lodge. We slept well in comfortable clean beds. Two bathrooms was a joy so no queues and no shortage of hot water. There was talk of going back up for a huge breakfast in the morning but it was too nice sitting on the deck furniture watching the lake-life, boats and water sports. We’re definitely coming back next year. 2020 is our year to remember as we discovered Killyhevlin’s lovely lakeside lodges. Thank you everyone.

Dear "William A" Thank you for choosing to stay with us at Killyhevlin Lakeside Hotel and Lodges. You and you're family are very welcome on your first stay in these strange times. We are delighted you found our new check-in system worked for you and you found it efficient. Previously lodges residents had to check-in with reception at the hotel so this saves time as well as not bringing you into the hotel. We are delighted with your compliments on your stay and its great you had time to dine in the hotel within your self-catering plans and didn't seem to find our controls too much of a bind. Thank you for understanding. The lodges allow for great independence for coming and going and visiting the local area. Again Covid-19 controls have changed so many things and its good to know you were able to book into the places you wanted to visit. We really appreciate your special mention for members of our team who made a special contribution to your stay and we will include them in our Employee of the Month nominations. Our play area has been very popular even on the rainy days, a great back up to our wee red train which has been on by many journeys over the years! We look forward to the opportunity of welcoming you back for further family breaks now that you have found us, stay safe, kindest regards, Leigh Watson, HR Manager.

We stayed here for a long weekend break and had an amazing time. The staff were extremely helpful throughout. We were apprehensive about a weekend away given the current situation and were so glad we chose Killyhevlin as they have taken so many precautions that we felt comfortable throughout our stay. They take temperature and contact details when you arrive and have screens at all the counters and food counters. Staff are wearing masks or shields and there are sanitiser stations throughout the building. They also have some one way systems in place and you can just tell that they have worked hard to ensure that every precaution has been taken. The food was first class, and the setting was just amazing - looking over Lough Erne. Thank you Killyhevlin - we will be back soon.

I visited the Killyhevlin for lunch with my dog. Firstly, a beautiful hotel with one of the most beautiful aspects I've ever seen. The outside grounds are well kept and the Covid 19 precautions are thorough which I'm sure helps the patrons feel safe in trying circumstances.

I appreciated being able to eat a table in reception with my dog who was well-behaved although bewildered at the sight of the robotic lawnmowers outside :-) !!

The gammon was really lovely. I would share previous reviewers' opinions that there should be a little more choice on sides. I could see from looking around that clientele skews towards the elderly but dry (apart from parsley sauce) potatoes/carrots/beans wouldn't be ideal. If there had been more choice - even chips/wedges, something, I would absolutely have returned here for a repeat lunch.

Dear "merlynne" Thank you for visiting Killyhevlin Lakeside Hotel and Lodges. We are delighted with your compliments on our unique views over Lough Erne and your feedback on our Covid-19 precautions is appreciated. Our new resident robotic lawnmowers have amused a few of our doggie visitors... especially when the robots dont react to a request to play!! They are a great point of interest and work quite happily in conjunction with our ride-on lawnmower team. We are pleased you enjoyed your gammon and will certainly take your comments on board regarding alternative sides, although chips are constantly requested and readily available. We apologise you weren't offered an alternative and will follow this lapse in service up with our F&B Manager. We are delighted to welcome a diverse clientele of all ages to enjoy their time at the Killy! We hope we will see you again along with your companion dog, keep safe, kindest regards, Leigh Watson, HR Manager.

My wife and I stayed here for a couple nights and had a really nice time as we always do when we stay here. The hotel felt safe from the moment we walked in and there were measures in place throughout the hotel to ensure people's safety.
When checking in we we're told the room was one of the newly renovated ones but to be honest it clearly wasn't however it was clean and spacious despite it being a little outdated and the view outside our room was onto a flat roof which was covered in weeds, it wasn't a big deal but a few plants and maybe some artificial grass would make it much more pleasant to look out onto.
The first night we had a meal in the grill bar which was nice if a little expensive, my wife had chicken goujons which she said was nice but there was 4 small goujons and for £15 I expected more from such a good hotel.
The second night we had dinner in the Kove restaurant which was absolutely top notch, fantastic food, beautifully presented and the service was outstanding.
Breakfast both morning was again fantastic, great choice and very tasty.
We also had a few drinks in the gardens which are stunning and the views breathtaking.
We've stayed here a few times in the past and will do again. It's a very well run hotel and the staff couldn't be more helpful.

Good Morning, Our restaurant does not have a strict dress code. Currently we are using Kove restaurant for breakfast and serving our lunch and evening meals in our more relaxed Scenic lounge and grill bar. Good Afternoon, We advise you contact our reservations team directly for full information and advise on our rooms (+44 (0) 2866323481). Classic Lakeview rooms offer the best direct lakeviews. Premier rooms face up the length of Lough Erne. There are also differences in the sizes of the rooms. We hope this helps and we look forward to hearing from you, Leigh Watson, HR Manager.

Dear "Ciaran R" Thank you for the enquiry. No, it is not possible to launch a boat from our property at Killyhevlin. The majority of people launch at the "Round O", Brooke Park, Enniskillen, BT74 7EU and cruise back to Killyhevlin and it is 1.2 mile drive into town from Killyhevlin Lakeside Hotel and Lodges. The moorings at the self catering lodges are allocated to and hired for the duration of their stay by those guests residing in the lodges and are not for public use. There is a Waterways Ireland jetty adjacent to the hotel grounds and this is for general public use on a first come basis. Enniskillen Visitor Centre (02866323110) will have advice on additional launch jetties and moorings. Thank you for your enquiry, kindest regards, Leigh Watson, HR Manager, Killyhevlin Hotel Ltd.

Dear sburns94 Thank you for your interest in our company and your enquiry. The majority of our bedrooms now have a fridge installed as we re-decorated. On making your reservation, please let us know you require a fridge and we will ensure you either get one of these rooms or that a fridge is put into your room. We look forward to welcoming you, regards Leigh Watson, Management at Killyhevlin Lakeside Hotel and Lodges.
