This is a wonderful pub on the shore of the Fowey River. The staff were all friendly and polite and always willing to help where they can. The food was very good and great value for money, even though one evening meal and breakfast was included, the pricing was still very good. Our room had fantastic views of the river,...

We stayed at The Old Ferry Inn on a Travelzoo voucher and what a lovely stay it was. The pub is right by the ferry to Fowey so you can park up for a couple of days and not worry about getting the car out again, the food was fantastic and the staff were really pleasant, I would definitely stay...

Stayed for a couple of nights and ate here for both evenings. Parking is in a "first come first served" basis and is extremely tight. The Inn is also on a rather steep hill less than 100 yards from the ferry to Fowey. The food was good, reasonable in choice, possibly a little over priced, although the steak was definitely...

This Inn has everything! Olde Worlde Bar, Log fire, Fine Dinning Restaurant, Cosy rooms, Great views, Friendly, yet professional service. This is not a 4* Hotel. But it is a Great Inn. We loved it. Ate there each night and couldn't fault it. Although The Inn is across the water from Fowey the ferry is on the doorstep and the...

Loved this place. We even tried to extend our stay but unfortunately they were fully booked. The food is gorgeous. I loved the views across the river to Fowey and catching the ferry across was great. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Nice selection of beers available and a lovely open fire in the bar on chilly days. The...

We stayed here on a travelzoo offer which turned out to be great value. The inn has a quiet charm all of it's own. Terrific food with good service. Locating the inn proved a little problematic! Sat navs are likely to take you to the wrong side of the estuary in Fowey whilst the inn itself is situated in Bodinnick....

Stayed here on a Travelzoo deal, which was excellent value. Our room was great with double aspect views of the estuary over to Fowey. The bar and pub area are very characterful and olde worlde. The restaurant was a nice modern addition making the most of the views. The food was OK. The staff seemed to work in a happy...

We stayed in early October and had a wonderful time. The room was, although without river view, a good size with a bath/shower in the en-suite. Service and food were both spot on and would recommend to all.

We Holiday in Bodinnick across the river from the town of Fowey in Cornwall. The cottage is literally across the lane (and a VERY steep lane it is as well) from the Old Feery Inn. We have eaten in this pub when on Holiday from many years ( we have one of our holidays here every year) and have never...

This inn is amazing, full of history, Bodinnick itself is like nowhere else on earth , as we pulled our case from the very near car park down the very very steep hill and we saw the inn, I was transfixed ! Room 7 was small but ok for a week. Bath and shower. Incredibly quiet . We loved waking...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Situated on the banks of the Fowey River Estuary in the picturesque village of Bodinnick, The Old Ferry is a quintessential Cornish Inn that has been providing accommodation and refreshment for over 400 years. We overlook the Bodinnick to Fowey ferry which can trace its roots back to the 13th Century, and 'Ferryside' the former family home of Daphne du Maurier. The Inn with its relaxed and warm welcome has many traditional features including a wood burner and stone slate floor, and is full of old photographs, nautical bric-a-brac and memorabilia. The perfect place to while away time during the winter months. Our panoramic restaurant gives fantastic river views towards the town of Fowey and the village of Polruan. There are also south facing outside terraces which also have splendid estuary views, and capture the sun all day, a perfect retreat for a summers day. ... more   less
