Beautiful decor inside, friendly staff. Had belly pork for Sunday lunch. @ £11.50 felt was way over priced. Large amounts of fat, roast potatoes tiny and dry some inedible. Veg quite nice though. Doubt I'd return

Have today returned from a really lovely couple of hours spent at Ravensworth Arms after a family visit to Tanfield Polar Express. The pub is in a great country location. We all had different Sunday roasts (beef, turkey and lamb) and all were delicious. Loads of great quality meats, well cooked veggies and a crispy Yorkshire pudding. Kids menu hit... More

First visit in a couple of years and crikey has the kitchen gone downhill. Ordered a Sunday dinner with soggy veg, dry meat and greasy roast potatoes. The service was excellent but couldn't compensate for the really disappointing meal

We hadn't booked but there were loads of tables empty. We got shown to a table served by a nice lady but the serving staff forgot a part of our order. Then my partner asked for another drink but never arrived. Then when leaving the lady remembered about the drink and asked if he still wanted it but by this... More
