Stayed here after personal recommendation. Couldn't have been better, nice room, first class meals, and most attentive staff, who are all members of the family. Location slightly remote, but none the worse for that. Would certainly go again Ken and Joan Lever. Sandbach. Cheshire.

This is the third time I've stayed here in connection with work and I would so like to go back for a break. It is a lovely friendly place to stay. Comfortable and homely. Nice to come back to a real log fire and on my last night, all work finished, nice to be able to relax with good beer... More

Our third visit to this hotel. We have not stayed for a couple of years but it is still as good as we remembered. The food is REALLY REALLY good and the hotel itself excellent. Clean comfortable room and a roaring log fire down stairs in the well stocked bar. Nothing is too much trouble for the owners and their... More

The Hampsfell House Hotel certainly deserves it's great Trip Advisor rating. This is why we booked it. The Hotel is a little out of town, but within walking distance. It is set in the most delightful gardens, with ample parking. Walk through the door and you are greeted with the sight of a well stocked bar and when you enter... More

Get to the Hampsfell House Hotel before 6.30 pm and go for the Early Bird Dinner - superb value at £14.95 for two courses. Food stunning, service first class and such value for money. Well worth a visit.

We had intended dining in on our first night but going out for the other two however the food was so good and the menu so varied we just ate in every night. The staff were very nice and professional, the only thing wrong was the weather... More

We had a most convivial lunch with a friend in pleasureable surroundings, enjoying a varied and appetising meal, with friendly staff, looking after our needs. Coffee taken in the delightful gardens in the sunshine was an added bonus.

I visited Hampsfell House week beginning 12 September with my elderly Mother. We found Brian, Rose and family very welcoming. We had room 4, a twin room with lovely views of the garden. The room was very clean. I found that the WiFi did reach the bedroom which was useful as there was no mobile signal (EE network). There are... More
