Stayed here a few times and each time in the winter months the room has been bitterly cold - last visit I e mailed asking to make sure the heating was on - I was assured it would be and guess what got there and it was baltically cold Room never warmed up all night Shocking

Well where do I start. Arrived around 2130 to check in, what a ball ache this was. The chap on reception was nice enough, however seemed quite incompetent to be fair. Eventually got to my room and couldn’t have been more disappointed. It was clean but so so dated. Two flimsy pillows on a super king size bed. My room was a superior room, that may have been apt in 1985. The dated interior of the hotel felt like a scene from “The Shining”, I half expected to see scary twins waiting for me at the end of the corridors. Breakfast was included with the room, this consisted of a greasy roll with egg and bacon, half a sausage roll that felt as it had been carved from a tree stump. Then to add insult to injury when we came down for breakfast, included in the rate the following morning, we were told there was none as we hadn’t ordered it ordered it the night before?? As it was just a greasy bap in a bag it was to much effort for them to do one for us. So in a nutshell if you fancy yourself as Jack Nicholson or Shelly Duvall in The Shining then set the Delorean to 1985 and visit this outdated circus, do so at your peril. Never again......”redrum, redrum”....

Stayed here for work, place is dated and needs some TLC, the staff make up for it though, especially Manchester on reception, very friendly, very helpful. Free parking was a huge bonus. Would probably stay again.

My stay here was for 3 nights. There was a gentleman named Chris who was very helpful and went out of his way a numerous amount of times to make his guest feel welcomed. I will definitely be coming back just for the 5 star service. Thank you!

Uptown arrival I was greeted by a friendly receptionist who checked me in and offered me dinner & breakfast options however there was nothing vegan which is disappointing in 2021. I then headed to my room and was shocked. It was dated, shabby and filthy. The coffee cups had not been cleaned, the shower curtain was filthy, the bath and sink had multiple pubic hairs, the bed linen was stained and the bath sheets were dirty. I contacted reception who were apologetic and moved my room. On initial inspection the room looked cleaner however there was no shower curtain (although perhaps this was a relief). On closer inspection there was faeces all around the toilet and up the wall along with more stained linen. I contacted reception again on the dirty room phone who took me to the third room. Here there was a faeces still in the toilet along with more pubic hairs in the bath. We went on to the fourth room which was cleaner although not exactly clean and smelt. Additionally the shower had no pressure so I could not wash during my stay. Whilst the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful the cleanliness and dated interior of the hotel would mean I would never stay here again.
