My husband and I have stayed at this campsite a few time, either in a tent or our campervan. Due to selling the camper we decided to rent one of the wigwams for two night. We have always found the caravan park really well kept and the main toilet/shower block immaculate. Unfortunately this time round we were really disappointed with the accommodation, the Wigwam is as advertised, heater, kettle, fridge and tv which were all good, so a basic set up which we were aware of. What let the whole experience down was the overwhelming smell of urine as we reached the door. The entrance is at the back of the Wigwan very close to a huge hedge row of conifers. Whether the smell was due to people just letting their dogs urinate outside the door or if some people thought it was less hassle to go to the toilet block themselves who knows. I did email the site the day we arrived home but as of yet, a week later there has been no response from them.

We stayed in a Pod for four nights although only 60km from home. Loved the peace and quiet and how clean the site was. Although very familiar with the area, we found plenty to do. The Pod was perfect for us two who just wanted to get away from our door for a wee while.

This is a fairly large site but it doesn't feel like one. The pitches are spacious. There is plenty of room around the site. If, like us you enjoy cycling, there are fantastic quiet lanes and tracks to use straight from the site. A good sized Co-op, pubs, cafes are all within easy walking distance. The toilets are kept clean as are the whole grounds in general. Definitely worth a visit to this site and area.

Beautiful, clean spacious caravan park with touring spots as well as statics, lodges and pods. Lots of children on site but wasn’t noisy, big play area and clean toilet block. Beautiful walks close by. The shop not well stocked however that is perhaps because there is a coop at the end of the street. Would definitely stay again at this spotless site.
