Detailed Reviews
We had a lovely 4 night stay here. This was actually one of the more reasonably priced guest houses in the area, available at relatively short notice (a few weeks in advance) whereas everywhere else was either very expensive or booked up.
We were able to park off the road on their driveway which was nice.
The room was clean and tidy and suited our needs perfectly - a kettle and things to make tea/coffee were provided in the room.
A short walk from local shops, and if you’re prepared to walk a bit further, you can eat fish and chips by the river :)

We had a great week's stay here. The rooms are large and comfortable and the hosts are friendly and helpful. Isabel even gave us some chanterelles and use of the kitchen to cook them for breakfast when she discovered that we liked wild mushrooms.

We're just back from a delightful three-night winter stay here. Despite freezing weather, we were always cosy - the wood burning stoves are superb (as is the oil c.h.) Breakfasts are delicious - fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals, wonderful granary toast and scrumptious cooked platters. The property has ample off-street parking and is quiet although central. Hosts Mr and Mrs Calder are friendly and helpful with a wealth of local knowledge. We know the town and environs well yet learned lots more. Our bedroom was well appointed and the hospitality tray, replenished daily, outstanding with its tea bag selection and quality biscuits. We will be back - thank you!

This is a very quaint B and B that is in need of some upgrading. However, the hosts are very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was good and the location is perfect. There is a private parking area on site. The full length of the en-suite has a coombed ceiling so it can be a bit restrictive. The accommodation met our basic needs.

During a tour of the Highlands I needed to stop over in Grantown on Spey. Using Tripadvisor I noted the Waverley and decided to book in. I am glad that I did as the whole experience was first class. I was touring on my motorcycle and required somewhere with a garage available of under cover, I had the choice at the Waverley and Isobel and her husband were excellent hosts. The place was spotless as was the room and nothing was too much trouble. I left after a good night’s sleep and a smashing cooked breakfast. The Waverley is well worth a stop, it is five minutes walk from the centre of Grantown.

In the spring of this year, my friend and I stayed at the Villa for several nights in order to explore the Highlands. From the moment we stepped foot into the inn, from the moment that the lovely owners waved goodbye, we loved our stay here. Gerald and Isobel were extremely welcoming and hospitable, making sure that all of our needs were met, that everything was comfortable, and that we had a fulfilling itinerary planned. It definitely felt like a home away from home. Everything was very clean, the breakfast was delicious and filling (Isobel did get us to at least taste the black pudding !), and the view was lovely. They also made sure that we were outfitted correctly for our outings, providing us with maps, binoculars, etc. so that we made the most of our surroundings. We will most certainly be back !

Stayed for a single night when attending a sports event out of town. Friendly hosts, clean room, good price and great breakfast. Couldn't ask for more. Will be going back for sure despite some serious competition from others close by.

Stayed for only one night but it was a very good recommendation from another B&B who could not find a room for us because they were fully booked. Lovely and clean rooms, very good, tasty breakfast and lovely, friendly and helpful owners. We even got a guided tour of the local estate!!!

The quarters were lovely. Our host, Isabel fantastic. We spent two nights and found the local people fantastic and great point to hit distilleries and Loch Ness. Breakfast was delightful and whatever you want.

I recently stayed at Waverley Villa with my elderly father & my son. We were warmly welcomed by Isobel & Gerald. The B&B is spotlessly clean & comfortable. Our large breakfast was delicious. Plenty of off-street parking.
