We have been staying at the Grant Arms for many years now and are never disappointed. The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are always clean and comfortable, the food is very good with a varied menu and they cater for vegans or those with food allergies. On this particular occasion they let us stay overnight after the easing of lockdown in Scotland, despite not being formally re-opened until May 1st 2021. This was because they knew we were on our way up to Orkney and needed an overnight stop. Nothing was too much trouble and we really appreciated everything they did for us. We were the only guests apart from the staff and yet we were still given a delicious dinner and breakfast. On our return journey we stopped overnight again when the hotel was fully re-opened for more delicious food. We look forward to staying again later this year. Thanks to all the staff for their care. .

this has a lovely location, comfortable rooms, good food-- better than last time, (Jan, 2020)-- and excellent service: warmly recommended for a break, and natural history interest round about is outstanding and easily accessed with advice at the hotel,

The hotel gave good guidance about hygiene and was still very friendly and professional. The food is really exceptional and always served by really competent and friendly staff. There were a few bird watchers there probably due to the Ospreys at Loch Garten. However the proximity to the river Spey and the Cairngorms means that it is a lovely place to be regardless. Worth every penny. Parking outside the hotel is safe.

Just spent three nights at this fabulous hotel and I can't recommend it highly enough! Ok the bathrooms are small and some of the decor may be a little tired but the building is hundreds of years old so it's not going to be sleek like a new build! What makes it so wonderful are the staff, who are friendly and efficient (without being obsequious) and very helpful at all times. Mum & Dad are in their 80's and were treated with respect and patience by everyone. The food in the restaurant was superb, the chef and his team are clearly very experienced and the waiting staff were very mindful of everyone’s safety at this time. Simon (from the BWWC) was a real treasure on the first night and helped us to plan Mum's "bucket list" visit in detail (resulting in us seeing golden eagles on 5 separate occasions!), ensuring we knew how physical each option would be. The talks in the evenings were informative and the daily excursions were well structured. Rooms were well presented and exceptionally clean - very spacious and comfortably furnished. It was a fabulous experience and, like many others, we will be going back as soon as we can

Pre-booked to have Sunday lunch and am very glad we did. A traditional dining room in what is a traditional highland hotel. Went for the 3 course option at a very reasonable £14.50. Quality & quantity of the food was very good and can certainly recommend the Grant Arms if you are in the area. Please note however that non-residents (such as we were) can only currently have Sunday Lunch and only if pre-booked in advance. Well worth doing 👍
