Really good three night stay as an Autumn package. Well planned and several alternatives available. We went to observe the Red Deer Rut and saw eagles and had a leader who made sure everyone saw everything. Cold day but sunny and learned a lot.

Like many other keen birders we often have to opt for average accommodation to be as near to where we need to be which often has a poor dining option - not the case with The Grant Arms, I'm delighted to report! The room we had was comfortable and very quiet and we were bowled over by the quality of...

We stayed for 3 nights at the Grant Arms Hotel which was excellent in every way. Our room was very spacious and comfortable with a very good bathroom. The food was superb both the breakast and the evening meals, with the choices of all three courses changing every day. The staff were particularly friendly and helpful in all areas of...

We went for a six day birding tour organised by the hotel with Iolo Williams and John Poyner, the resident guide/ranger. The room was spacious and warm, the food delicious ( I became a fattie ) and the facilities fantastic. Our trip was brilliant in terms of organisation, birding and company. Apart from that, the hotel caters well for all...

We went specifically to bird watch in the area and this hotel is perfect at providing extensive information, talks, newsletters for nature watchers and have some of the best staff I have ever experienced in a hotel. The restaurant was well above our expectations too. Only low point was to discover the total decimation of all wildlife on the grouse...

Spent a couple of very comfortable nights at the Grant Arms, I booked direct and found I got a good deal. Reception offered a friendly and efficient welcome, the hotel is warm, clean, well ordered and comfortable. We were upgraded to a four-poster front room which was a little austere for our liking with a good sized modern en-suite with...

I was swithering between 4 and 5 stars.... We have stayed at the Grant Arms twice previously so we knew it would be good. The staff are friendly, the food is good and plentiful (if rather rich!) and the amenities for bird/wildlife watchers are excellent. The free guided walks in the local countryside are really good. The hotel is cosy...

Further to my previous review of the cafe Bar meal at the Grant Arms Hotel (our local), I write to recommend the formal restaurant. Its a grand, period hotel full of charm and interesting features staffed with happy, motivated people. We booked for dinner on a Tuesday night. This hotel is the epi-centre for wildlife and birdwatchers in the Cairngorms...

The Grant Arms Hotel is home to the Birdwatching and Wildlife Club which has guest speakers and events on. We went over the Valentines weekend. The wildlife guides are very knowledgeable and there is lots to do in the local area. The room we had was modern and spacious, the only problem was the house keeping. On two occasions our...
