This is an old, somewhat antiquated, hotel. The location is right on the harbour and around the corner from the main shopping area. The restaurant serves 3 meals a day...all quite good. Staff is helpful. There is a comfortable reading room on the second floor which is great for a bad weather day. We found this a good jumping off...

Great location, with a lovely view of the harbour. Had both breakfast and dinner here, which were very tasty and good value. Staff were all really friendly and even when it got busy in the restaurant they were very attentive. The only reason for the 4 star review is that it is a little dated and could do with a...

Went here for lunch, the restaurant was clean and very nice with some original fixtures and fittings. The staff were friendly and attentive and service was timely. The menu was varied and prices reasonable. We had a butchers platter which consisted of local cured meats and a seafood platter, again local sea food used, presentation was excellent but I would...

The location - right on the waterfront - is wonderful but the hotel itself has seen better days. The place looks very tired and although the staff were always cheerful and helpful, this would not be our first choice of hotels on our next visit. Our room looked onto the harbor and that's about the best we can say for...

The room was below standard for cleanliness and could do with being modernised. It was expensive for the what was offered. The continental breakfast was minimal for anybody who would prefer a lighter breakfast and the service was a bit slow.

Stayed here for a night whilst working in town centre,a five minute walk away. Hotel is a bit dated but it is comfortable with everything needed for a good stay, was given a second floor room overlooking harbour which gives superb views, excellent sleep quality and superb breakfast next morning. Recommended!

Stayed here for 2 weeks in November, as I was working there. Hotel was fine, a tad dated and could do with a paint here and there. But in general? Good condition. Rooms were spacious, comp water and tea, and decent enough showers, though the one I had second week (different room) had very poor flow. The real gem of...

This was our first time at this hotel, we had requested a sea view room which was on the second floor. The view was lovely and there was a couple of comfy chairs that you could sit in and watch all the goings on, but you could not escape the fact that the main road was right outside. There was...

It offers you a bed to sleep in, a bar to drink at, food to eat and hot showers. I was not blown away by the hotel but waking up to the view of the harbor made it nice. It has an old elevator with the two doors that holds about three people or just you and your luggage. So...
