Arranged a reception for a friend after she lost her husband. She didn't want a big reception, just a meeting place for coffee/tea and cake, the Bedford was wonderful at arranging exactly what she wanted. All the staff we met or had dealings with over emails were wonderful, and on the day they couldn't have been more friendly or obliging. We were surprised that there was a bar available as neither of us had thought about it previously , proved to be a very welcome addition. Staff that kept an eye on the proceedings were so 'invisible' but very efficient and available if we needed to speak to them. Thank you The Bedford, we highly recommend you.
Just returned from a dance weekend at the amazing Bedford Hotel. As one of the organisers, taking 53 people to a new venue is always a little nervewracking but I needn't have worried. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very nice, all the staff were efficient and friendly and the food was excellent with a wide choice to suit all tastes. In short, everything ran like clockwork and so many of our guests thanked us for the great venue and lovely weekend. We will definitely be back!
Good value hotel with quality food. Parking was free and directly in front of the hotel. All the staff from waiters to cleaning staff were very polite and hard working. The room was comfortable and clean with fresh robes ready for showering. The breakfast was of a very high standard and served very quickly from placing an order. We stayed in room 4 and the only down side was the traffic noise at night. The room was very warm so had to keep the window open. The true test of a hotel is would we stay there again and the answer is emphatically yes. The only down side for us was the “Hattie Jacques” type maitre d who was slightly abrupt.
Another excellent stay at The Bedford Hotel. We cannot fault this hotel, the standard and quality of the food, decor, facilities and service is way in excess of it's 3 star rating. Fabulous evening meals and breakfasts using locally sourced (and in some cases, award winning) produce. The restaurant and coffee shop are regularly patronised by non-residents who described the food as 'amazing' and 'one of the best places to eat' in the area. Decorated to a very high standard with beautiful carpets and furniture throughout, the bedrooms and public areas are a pleasure to relax in. This is our second visit and we will definitely return again.
A very enjoyable 3 night stay. A warm and informative welcome, this was reflected in all of the staff who were friendly and attentive the whole time. Excellent standard of cleanliness throughout. Comfortable, warm room. Decor a little tired generally. Mentioned a broken drawer and missing light bulbs, not fixed during our stay. Standard of catering consistently Excellent. All freshly cooked to order. Very friendly waiting on crew. Plenty of off road parking. Overall, good value for money and would certainly stay there again.
We had an overnight stay to deliver a taster session for Susan Walker Dance Holidays and thoroughly enjoyed it. A warm welcome on arrival, spotlessly clean and well appointed room. Comfortable and quiet. There is excellent food both evening and breakfast with professoonal and friendly service. The Ballroom is lovely and perfect for group activities. A short walk to the seafront. Thank you for a fabulous stay. We'll be back in the autumn. Totally recommended
My wife and I are just back from a very enjoyable four night stop at The Bedford. We made the booking because of it's No 1 rating on Tripadvisor - and it's well justified. What is there to like? 1 - The general ambience. 2 - Staff friendliness and efficiency. 3 - common areas. 4 - food quality and choice, with an emphasis on local suppliers. 5 - the closeness to St Annes centre and the promenade. ...all exactly as you would wish for, and not only all that but Tinker by the reception desk keeps everything and everyone in order! We were fortunate to share our short break with a local Whist group who use the hotel regularly, and what delightful people they were. The superb spring weather also played a part in our enjoyment, as did our Premier room - No 36. Thoroughly recommended, and if you're out for the day and the car park is full on your return there's plenty of parking in nearby side streets.…
Having just spent s weekend at the Bedford Hotel with our line dancing group ... I must say I would recommend a stay here .... The accommodation is great and spotlessly clean, the food was lovely and cooked to perfection .... All the staff were very friendly ,caring and helpful..... I would recommend this hotel to anyone ....
Lovely family Sunday lunch staff were so helpful and attentive, definitely recommend. Pianist was playing very relaxing. The menu was great for everyone from our 4 year old with banana milkshake and beans on toast to 92. Year old dad who had traditional Sunday roast beef. Sitting in the window at the end of Feb it felt like an afternoon on holiday in the sun
I've had lunch at The Bedford a number of times with friends over the last few years, and last week I went there with my husband for the first time. All the staff were very welcoming, and we enjoyed an excellent lunch in the super surroundings. The staff are so pleasant, efficient and helpful, it's an absolute joy to visit The Bedford. We'll be back again soon.
