Good value for money and the hotel is in the middle of Ross on Why. Good restaurant and good service. Easy access to nice walks and I can recommend the Daffodils walk 4,5 to 5 hours walk with nice pubs half way.

We stayed for a 2 night weekend break. We arrived early and were welcomed for breakfast and one of our rooms was ready to check in to, which was great. The bar area has a great buzz. The food is the restaurant was tasty. The breakfasts were amazing and certainly set us up for the day. Can recommend.

Have stayed here over a few weeks now and it's so very central to everything in Ross. The staff are lovely and very friendly I stay on my own and feel very safe. Rooms are old and staircase rickety but very clean and good facilities. Breakfasts are fab. Fully recommend.

A group of seven of us stayed for three nights in this hotel. We all felt that it offered very comfortable accommodation. The breakfasts, freshly cooked to order, were excellent, and the coffee was of a very good quality. The staff who served in the bar and restaurant were helpful and friendly. Reception was just o.k.

We decided upon this place for our Sunday lunch on our last day in Ross on Wye and what a good decision that was. It's a lovely, old fashioned hotel with caring, helpful staff. We were greeted warmly and booked an early table. While we were waiting to eat I bought a pint and a bottle of red wine which...

Good size room and nicely furnished. Being on the High Street its very central for Ross on Wye and I used it as a base to tour Herefordshire and the Forest of Dean. Food and service were good both breakfast and evening. Its dog friendly and they're also allowed in the bar and library room which is a bonus.

I wanted to host a group here in July for dinner but the venue was already fully booked, however this month we stopped by for a drink whilst on our canoe trip. It's understandable as to why is booked out. The atmosphere and indoor areas and lovely, the beer selection good and the food v tasty. I can see why...

3 of us stayed here as a stopover on the way to Celtic Manor. Spacious family room comfortably accommodated 3 guys. Great friendly welcome, and fitted us into the restaurant despite not having a reservation on a busy Saturday night. The restaurant and bar are clearly a big hit with the locals as both were very busy. Good hearty but...

Pre booked meal and double room deal. Great position in village but arrived tired to be faced with very offhand man in reception. Informed that we couldn't eat before 8pm due staff capabilities. This was altered to 7.45 but though on time we weren't served till about 8.30. On arrival the sewer smell in the passages was very off putting...
