Second time staying here, again only overnight but you cannot fault the White House for its location or the friendly and courteous service of the proprietor Judy. She made us feel like family from even before we arrived. Located just off the bank of the river Wye, with a riverside pub less than 70 yards away and the town centre...

Judy would like to thank you for taking the time to respond and for the lovely comments you made - it is much appreciated. I am so glad that you enjoyed your stay at The White House and in Ross. I am happy to discuss any issues of mobility and will try to assist, but, obviously, the building is old...

This is a nice old guest house set in a quiet road and overlooking a fantastic view of the river. Ross-on-wye is a lovely old historic town with some great architecture having plenty of pubs and restaurants. Judy the proprietor was very friendly and nothing was too much bother. The breakfast was top rate and set us up for the...

Lovely position, across road from the river, near to town. Quiet area with parking available outside guest house on road side. Attractive building from outside. Internal decoration is rather sad and dated. Plaster / wallpaper hanging off on stairs. Room was plenty big enough, bed was comfortable but ensuite was tiny, really just a converted cupboard, hardly room to dry...

Judy would like to thank you for taking the time to respond. I am not sure which room you stayed in - you were one of a party of 10 so it is difficult to know, but I am guessing it was one of the rooms which have not yet been refurbished - four of our rooms have been during...

We had a nice few days here. The place is well situated for exploring a lovely part of the UK with several pretty towns within 20 minutes / half an hours drive and good walking too. The White house is 'homely' rather than 'modern' but the room was clean, the linen fresh and inviting (and changed after 2 nights) and...

Thank you so much for your lovely review. Only one thing - we have to be honest and say that we don't actually have a pool OR a hot tub, unfortunately. Or a play area and table tennis. Just wish we did....! I think you must have stayed at another White House? Thank you so much for the great review...

I am vegan and the owner went at of her way to accommodate me: she bought soy milk, vegan yogurts, vegan sausages, vegan cheese. I didn't ask for any, so that was a delightful surprise! Breakfast was very copious and delicious. My room was on the river and very quiet, I stayed for 4 nights.

We stayed here one night with our dog. The owner was very welcoming of our pup and even put out a water bowl and some treats for her in our room. She also got a sausage for her breakfast that had been chopped up and wrapped in foil! The room (no.4) was a little tired but nothing that put us...

After ending up stranded in Ross on Wye, we found this little guest house for the night. It is in a beautiful location near hills and a river, also very close to local amenities and pubs/restaurants. Judy was very welcoming and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and provided tea, coffee and toiletries. Judy also cooked us a brilliant...

Our stay here was very enjoyable! Judy gave us the best traditional English breakfast that we had during our entire two-week stay in England and Wales. Delicious! (And the best coffee).
