Appledown House has been converted into a holiday let bungalow. We were the first to stay since the conversion and in our opinion it's even better. You have a lovely kitchen, lounge with tv and a conservatory, where you can have your meals whilst looking at the glorious views of the Devon countryside, and not forgetting the bedroom with a super...

Our second visit to this well presented B&B. A warm welcome awaited us from Gill who provided a very welcome cup of tea after a long journey. A full English breakfast is the perfect start to the day. Our room was cosy with a very comfortable bed. Will definitely be back.

We spent a very restful weekend stay at Appledown in early October, enjoying Jill’s hospitality whilst we explored the local area on our bikes. Staying in the perfectly couple sized and exceptionally comfortable front room we were made to feel very comfortable with a range of tea/coffee and fresh milk to hand. Arriving in the late evening due to travelling...

We enjoyed the excellent breakfasts and the hospitality of Gil and Dave. Appledown is perfectly situated for Devon and East...

We originated from this area and now visit my Father from time to time who is still in the area but is in a residential home. As we can no longer stay in his House when we needed a convenient B&B. We found this B&B on the Internet, near Tavistock and it fits our needs perfectly. Gil and Dave gave...

Great B&B a few miles outside Tavistock. Comfortable room, easy parking and marvellous breakfast of mostly homemade or local produce while looking over the local countryside. Very helpful and accommodating hosts. Made a perfect base for us while visiting Dartmoor and nearby NT locations.
