Just a quick trip, basics are all there .. nice stay overall Plenty of add ons you were allowed to make, we used the additional pool and sauna add on, only thing that let it down was the steam room being shut
Arrived 1st night to poor food delivery service to table. Air conditioning in room not working on some of the hottest days of the year so far. Positive I did get a move to another room, staff were friendly.
Overall this is a decent hotel. We had a comfortable nights stay with a good meal (Sunday Roast) and Ok breakfast. We did have problems we reported on departure which we wanted addressing. On arrival we encountered an excrement mark in the toilet. The remote control was missing making the TV unusable for the time we were there and whilst searching for the remote we found a burst balloon behind the chair. We reported these problems to the Receptionist on departure who promised to tell the Housekeeping Manager and General Manager who she explained 'would contact me'. They did not contact me as promised. I have since sent 5 emails through various methods (direct/via reception/via online contact form etc) but without response. This proves the Management are not concerned about the issues raised or that they are too busy/lazy to reply to genuine customer problems. Appalling Management customer service. We will not return even though we have stayed several times in the past.…
As other reviews we stayed. Breakfast was cold or there was none you would be waiting for them to fill up food 20mins. No hot water! This is less than what I get at home. Shambolic I’ve put in a complaint and no one has got back to me. Couple above us were having a domestic so pointless us paying for late check out when water is cold and you have people upstairs throwing stuff around. I did complain to reception and was told it would be logged. It’s been over a week still no response from Village. Appalling.
Good location, short walk to railway station for Liverpool. I think the hotel needs a refurbishment as probably not been done since it was built 20 or 30 years ago. Rooms looking tired, stained carpets and mirror missing with just the screws left in the wall. Big mouldy stain on ceiling where air conditioning has been leaking. Bathroom floor needs changing. No remote for tv so had to get one from reception. I think they are in short supply as told I was lucky to get one. The walls are very thin. I actually thought the people next door were in the same room as us it was that bad. Breakfast was quite good a bit cold. Did not try the swimming pool but looks good. Overall experience was ok but it could be a lot better.
Great value for the facilities and room at £40. The bar/grill is limited on choice and expensive for what it is, but offers are available at certain times. We were treated in a very friendly manner by all the staff we met across the hotel.
Stayed here for business. It's great value for money and i enjoyed the breakfast too. Clean. Funky room designs might not be to everyone's taste but i liked it. Modern auto check in process but there is someone on hand to help if the Tech is overwhelming.
Good value for money, we could have done with less music in the bar, over all, very good, service in the bar was good along with the service in general. The coffee bar was a nice touch and very welcome after a long journey.
Sleep quality was bad, room temperature was bad, no remote. I shouldn't have to complain, they need to think about these things being in the service industry. Absolutely terrible breakfast at 6:45 in the morning.
Been here a few times in the past, nice, clean hotel, with plenty of thing's to do, big TV screens in the bar, nice room's, working lift's!! Ample car parking spaces, set in a quiet location, away from road noise.
