Unlike many country house B&B's you may stay in this is the real thing. No reproductions here. Real antiques & antiquities. A real Lady, Poppy, with the essential English family connections & a wonderful history. Unfortuantely the weather turned on our arrival so we could not enjoy the beautiful garden. But we enjoyed our beautiful room. A fabulous comfy bed...

We ventured out from London - Grandmother, Mother, & Granddaughter - to see the real English countryside. And while we'd never been to the Cotswolds before, being welcomed by Poppy & staying at Uplands House was like returning to a favorite place. We knew our trip would be one filled with memory making, but none so warmly recalled as Poppy's...

The beauty of her garden was only matched by the beauty of her spirit. Our wonderful hostess, Poppy, made our two-night stay memorable in every way. Her dinner table beautiful, the conversation was lively, and the food delicious. Our every expectation was exceeded. I had left a bag at the airport and she even found someone who would drive back...

We arrived at Uplands B&B to find Poppy soaking up the sun in her beautiful gardens. (We stayed here on the gloriously sunny May bank holiday.) She showed us up to our room and told us that afternoon tea and cake would be served around 5 ish, this would be a chance for us to meet the other guests staying...

My husband myself and our two dogs stayed here for a glorious weekend over the bank holiday. We had such a lovely time and really cannot fault it. Poppy is the most wonderful host and makes you feel so at home and welcome. Her cooking is delicious and a dinner is not to be missed not to mention the breakfast!...

What a great experience. We stayed here for three nights B&B and we decided to have the evening meal on two occasions and that was probably the best decision we had made all weekend. The food was excellent and the company and the host poppy were great fun.we have not laughed so much. I would highly recommend Poppy's B&B the food...

What a joyous experience, we stayed at Uplands House as a special night away. Rich and scrumptious food, with engaging hosts that made us feel thoroughly welcome. We stayed in the 4 poster room as a special treat. Entertaining conversation that made the evening disappear too quickly. The ingredients were fresh and sourced locally, what a marvellous butcher Poppy has...

I lived in England in the early 80’s and this was my first trip to the island with my daughters Mane (15) and Paz (13). I badly wanted to show them my favorite region in the interior of England, the Cotswolds and I also wanted to spend a couple of days with a typical English family, to show my daughters...

Thank you so much for a wonderful review! We loved having you here, you were our first visitors from Argentina. Your great interest in everything we had to show you was addictive, and I felt we could not do enough for you. We do hope to see you again! Poppyxx

Five of us invaded Poppy and Graham at their lovely house for a night. Although the weather was not great, and the cold Spring had held back the growth of Poppy's beautiful gardens, our visit with them was still quite delightful. Poppy recommended a brief walk for us to occupy us until tea was served at 5 PM. The tea...

'Prepare to be cherished', was our greeting, and we certainly were! On a freezing cold evening we sat by the fire in the elegant drawing room with pre dinner drinks and lively chat. This is elegant but not stuffy. A tasty meal in the dining room with our hosts and then a blissful nights sleep in our cosy room. Would...
