We are a small, family-run camping and caravan site ideally located just off the A515 and perfectly situated for exploring the High Peak Trail. We are set away from the Ashbourne to Buxton Road, so lovely and quiet but easy enough for you to find. We have our own herd of dairy cows, so you can buy our lovely fresh milk from a 24hour vending machine on site. We also sell our ice cream, all of which is made from milk from our herd!

We came for the weekend stopping 2 nights in our caravan with our two children aged 4 and 10. The facilities are very clean and have really good space. It’s great for the high peak trail as it’s just off the campsite. The pitches are grass pitches but they do have water and electric for each caravan pitch. It’s not a big campsite but what they do have is very family orientated. They make their own ice cream and sell it in the shop with their own milk and eggs. If we come and stop in the area again we would definitely come back here.

We have stayed here a few times in the caravan with the kids. The kids love it - they have goats to feed, and cows to look at etc. The layout of the site is good as well, no formal 'barriers' and a very 'open' kind of environment, with caravans circling a small wood i the middle. Easy to park up and close to the shop and toilets etc. On the topic of shower and toilet blocks, it's one of the best we have been to. It's large, and very very clean. That speaks volumes. Location wise is odd, a near the busy A6, but it's far back enough to not really notice the noise, and certainly the view of the road is obscured with trees and hedge - In fact, the view from the site is very pleasant of the peaks and fields. Also, it's very well located for access to the peaks trails, and several pubs within walking / 2 minute driving distance. Monyash (Pub and Ice cream shop) is a 5 minute drive and has a lovely circular walk down a valley and through a farm. I'd highly recommend. Our fully serviced grass pitch was just right. We will go back again when we can!

Visited back in July of this year, tent with EHU. We were placed in the tenting field overlooking the lovely hills. It was lovely not being surrounded by caravans, and only tents. Facilities are very modern, and cleaned multiple times a day so definitely COVID safe. The shop has a lovely selection of fresh local produce (ice cream is to die for and made on the farm). Outside of reception they also have quaint ‘vending machines’ stocked with the farm’s own produced eggs and milk! Simply lovely. Very close to Buxton so easy links to a lot of the Peak District. We look forward to return!

Firstly, the owners/staff are really nice and friendly. Their cattle and goats are also really sweet and inquisitive. We stayed four nights in the tent field, I wouldn’t personally describe these as level pitches, the whole field is on a slope which is only just bearable. The ground is soft, and in wet weather it is not easy to get a vehicle in and out the field as several others found. The tent field is also extremely exposed, and the site is pretty high in the national park, a great location with a nice view, but paying the little extra to be on a serviced pitch would also give you much more protection from wind. The nearby quarry seems to operate 24hrs so there’s a bit of background noise from there and the main road at night. The facilities are great, with good modern showers, toilets, etc. Obviously conveniently located at the very start of the High Peak trail, it provided us a great central base to visit a range of places in the Peak District and Derbyshire Dales.
